Meta Nova glasses: what Meta’s own pages say
Meta Nova is one of two frame shapes Meta introduced for its Meta Glasses line on September 23, 2026. This guide reads Meta's US and UK store pages for the price, sizes, colors and lenses, dates every fact, and says plainly which specs the Nova page does not state.

1. What Meta Nova is
Meta Nova glasses are a round, Pantos-style frame in Meta’s own-brand Meta Glasses line, listed on meta.com at $299 in the US store for the default Classic Black and Clear pair (checked October 31, 2026). Meta’s product page is titled “Meta Nova AI Glasses - Pantos Frame,” and its Meta Glasses page labels the shape “Round” and shows the size “Standard.” Pantos is the eyewear term for a rounded frame.
Meta announced Nova on September 23, 2026, in two posts: one on about.fb.com and a Connect 2026 roundup on meta.com. The roundup describes Nova and its sibling Capri as “additional frame shapes (Meta Capri and Meta Nova) to fit even more faces comfortably.” Neither post gives Nova a price, release date or spec sheet (checked October 31, 2026), so everything below about price, sizes and lenses comes from the store pages, not the announcement.
Nova is not a Ray-Ban or Oakley product. Meta’s glasses hub lists four separate lines: Meta Glasses, Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta and Meta Ray-Ban Display, and Nova sits in the Meta Glasses line. Besides Nova, the Meta Glasses page names Capri (shape label “Cateye”), Adventurer (“Rectangle”), Starfire (“Slim Oval”) and Fury (“Bold”). The line as a whole is promoted with “Starting at $249,” a figure that belongs to the line rather than to Nova. Our Meta Adventurer glasses guide covers the rectangle frame, and the best Meta glasses guide compares across the lines.

2. What Meta Nova costs
The US price is $299, shown with the default Classic Black frame and Clear lenses selected (checked October 31, 2026). Meta’s page adds a financing line, from $24.92 a month at 0% APR, whose footnote terms we could not read, and shows no original or crossed-out price. The UK store lists the same glasses at £269, or £22.42 a month at 0% APR with Klarna. We did not check whether choosing other lenses changes either number, so read $299 as the listed price, not a guaranteed final one.
Meta’s Mix & Match page tells a slightly different story. It prints “Starting at $324” on each of its four frame cards, Nova’s included, and does not explain the gap from $299. The page describes Mix & Match as a US-only program in which you choose a lens color and a case color, and says Meta Glasses purchased on meta.com “are built to order and arrive to you within 10-14 days after purchase.” If you plan to customize, read the price in the configurator at the last step rather than trusting either figure.
For every Meta line side by side, see our Meta glasses priceguide, and for lower-priced ways into Meta’s range, the cheap Meta glasses guide.
3. Sizes and fit
Meta lists two sizes for Nova, Small and Standard, plus a “High bridge” fit option (checked October 31, 2026). The US page opens on “Standard & High bridge,” and the UK page lists the same size and fit options. Neither page lists a Large. By contrast, Meta’s Adventurer product page lists Standard and Large.
Both Nova pages link a size guide and a fit guide, but the page text we could read prints no measurements: no frame width, lens width, bridge width or weight. Meta’s Connect roundup says the new shapes are meant “to fit even more faces comfortably” and gives no numbers. Best Buy’s search results (checked October 31, 2026) split Nova into Small and Standard listings as well, so the two sizes are not a quirk of Meta’s store. The page text we read does not define the high-bridge option. If you are between sizes, the size and fit guides on the product page are the authority; we have no measurements to add and will not guess at them.
4. Colors and lenses
Meta Nova comes in four frame colors, Classic Black, Honey Tortoise, Sandstone and Sage, in seven frame-and-lens combinations on the US page (checked October 31, 2026). The UK page lists the same seven.
| Frame color | Lens color listed by Meta |
|---|---|
| Classic Black | Clear (default), Brown, Grey |
| Honey Tortoise | Clear; Clear to Graphite Green Transitions |
| Sandstone | Chocolate |
| Sage | Clear to Emerald Transitions |
Two of the seven are Transitions lenses, which change tint with light: Honey Tortoise with Clear to Graphite Green and Sage with Clear to Emerald. The other five are listed as Clear, Brown, Chocolate or Grey, without a Transitions label. Polarization is the detail to check. The Nova page text we read does not use the word “polarized” for any lens and labels the option simply “Grey,” while Best Buy’s listing titles call a Classic Black Nova lens “Polarized Grey.” We treat that as the retailer’s description of that variant, not as Meta’s specification.
Meta’s Mix & Match page lists Nova as one of four frame shapes, with Adventurer, Fury and Capri, where you can choose lens color and case color (online only), and describes the lens range as running from clear and mirrored to polarized and Transitions. The foldable charging case comes in five colors; the text we read does not name them.
Prescription is the open question. Neither the US nor the UK Nova page states whether prescription lenses are available or in what range (checked October 31, 2026). Meta’s Meta Glasses overview says the line is “designed for nearly all prescriptions” and Rx compatible across clear, blue light, Transitions and sun lenses, with no numeric range in the text we read, but its style list on the snapshot we read does not name Nova. Our Meta glasses prescriptionguide records that Meta’s store, filtered for prescription on September 30, 2026, returned Nova among the Meta Glasses styles. Confirm the range in Meta’s configurator before you pay for prescription lenses.
5. What the Nova pages do not state
The Nova pages we read do not state a camera resolution, battery life, charging-case hours, water rating, weight or storage (checked October 31, 2026). The US page’s text ends at the purchase panel, which carries delivery, returns and warranty labels with no terms or durations under them.
Meta does publish line-level numbers. Its Meta Glasses overview page says “Over 8 hours of use per charge,” up to 23 hours in standby, and describes a 12MP ultrawide camera that captures 3K UHD video with HDR, then adds “Check individual product pages for specific ratings.” That snapshot names Adventurer, Fury and Starfire Kylie Edition as the styles and does not mention Nova or Capri, so we do not attribute those figures to Nova. The pages we read call Nova a new frame shape in the Meta Glasses collection and do not say whether it shares the line’s hardware.
Best Buy’s listing adds little. Its titles call Nova “Smart Frame, AI Glasses with Camera,” which says there is a camera but gives no specifications. For battery figures across Meta’s lines, our Meta glasses battery lifeguide uses Meta’s own pages.
One caution: a plain-text read of a store page can miss specification sections that sit behind tabs or scripts. Open Nova’s page and check its specification and FAQ sections yourself before you buy, and if Meta has published Nova figures since October 31, 2026, they override this page.
6. Where Meta Nova is sold
Meta Nova is sold on meta.com: we read the US store page and the UK store page (checked October 31, 2026), and the UK page shows an Add to bag button. Best Buy lists Nova in its AI-glasses search results as separate Small and Standard listings in Classic Black and Honey Tortoise, with Clear, Transitions Graphite Green and Polarized Grey lens variants. We did not read prices on Best Buy, so check each listing.
Whether Nova is sold in your country is Meta’s to say. Its Connect roundup says Meta is bringing Meta Glasses to new markets, “starting today in Singapore, South Korea, and Mexico,” but it does not name a market for Nova or Capri specifically (checked October 31, 2026).
7. Where OXIVUE fits
We publish this page, and OXIVUE sells camera glasses of its own, so here is the short version of what ours are and are not. They are not Meta products and have no Meta AI. None has a display, and none takes prescription lenses. OXIVUE does not publish which AI model powers the M02C’s voice-activated visual assistant.
The M08 is $99 at checkout (listed at $149) as a single pair, with an 8 MP camera, about 42 g, a rating of 7 hours of listening or 4 hours of calls, sun, photochromic or clear lenses, and no published water rating. The M02C is $109 at checkout (listed at $159), with a Sony IMX219 8 MP sensor, dual stabilisation, IP65 (dust and water jets, not immersion), about 41 g and magnetic charging. Capture starts only with a touch on the temple, files go to the companion app, and translation covers 40+ languages, heard only by the wearer. Ask people before you record them. Compare every model on the comparison page.

Frequently asked questions
What are the new Meta glasses called?
Meta announced two new Meta Glasses styles on September 23, 2026: Capri and Nova. Both belong to Meta's own-brand Meta Glasses line, which also lists Adventurer, Fury and Starfire, and which is separate from the Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta and Meta Ray-Ban Display lines on meta.com (checked October 31, 2026). Nova is the round Pantos frame; Meta's Meta Glasses page labels Capri's shape Cateye. Meta's September 23 posts (checked October 31, 2026) give Nova no price, release date or spec sheet.
How much do Meta Nova glasses cost?
$299 in the US and £269 in the UK, as listed on Meta's own store pages on October 31, 2026 with the default Classic Black frame and Clear lenses selected. Meta's US page also lists financing from $24.92 a month at 0% APR. Its Mix & Match page prints "Starting at $324" on each of its four frame cards, Nova's included, without explaining the difference from $299, so confirm your final price in Meta's configurator before you pay.
What sizes does Meta Nova come in?
Two: Small and Standard, with a High bridge fit option (checked October 31, 2026). Meta's Nova page lists no Large size, unlike the Adventurer, whose page lists Standard and Large. Meta links a size guide and a fit guide but prints no frame or lens measurements in the page text we read, so use those guides rather than guessing. Best Buy's listings also split Nova into Small and Standard.
Does Meta Nova come with Transitions or prescription lenses?
Transitions, yes; prescription is not confirmed on the Nova page. Meta's US and UK pages list two Transitions options: Clear to Graphite Green on Honey Tortoise and Clear to Emerald on Sage. Neither page states whether prescription lenses are available or the range (checked October 31, 2026). Our prescription guide records Nova in Meta's prescription-filtered store listing on September 30, 2026; confirm the range in Meta's configurator before ordering.
Does Meta Nova have a camera, and what are the specs?
Best Buy's listings say yes: the titles read "AI Glasses with Camera" (checked October 31, 2026). Meta's Nova page text, however, gives no camera resolution, battery hours, water rating or weight, and the pages we read carry no Nova-specific spec sheet. Meta's Meta Glasses overview cites a 12MP ultrawide camera and over 8 hours per charge but does not name Nova in its style list, so we do not attribute those figures to Nova.
Is Meta Nova the same as Ray-Ban Meta?
No. Meta Nova is part of Meta's own-brand Meta Glasses line. Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta are separate lines on meta.com, each with its own styles (checked October 31, 2026). Nova's default pair is $299 on Meta's US page, while Ray-Ban Meta prices vary by generation; our Meta glasses price guide lists them side by side from Meta's pages.
Are there camera glasses that cost less than Meta Nova?
Yes, but they are different products. OXIVUE's M08 camera glasses are $99 at checkout and the M02C is $109 (prices checked October 31, 2026), against $299 for Nova's default pair on Meta's US page. Ours have no display, no Meta AI and no prescription lenses, and OXIVUE does not publish which AI model powers the M02C's voice-activated visual assistant.

What these frames won’t do
- No prescription lenses yet, on any model. If you need vision correction all day, these can't replace your glasses.
- No display. Nothing appears in your view; you hear answers and capture photos and video.
- Open-ear speakers leak some sound at high volume and won't block out a loud train or a windy road the way sealed earbuds do.
- Translation, music, calls and the assistant need your phone nearby and connected. Translation pauses after each sentence, and only you hear the translated audio; the other person reads the reply on your phone.
- M08: no published water rating, so keep it out of heavy rain and spray.
Check these before you order: see the warranty and refund policy.
