2-Year Limited Warranty

Every OXIVUE frame is covered by a 2-year limited warranty from the date it shipped from our Milan studio. If your pair develops a defect in materials or workmanship during that window, we repair or replace it — no fee, no round-trip shipping cost on us.

What’s Covered

  • Frame defects — hinge failure, solder breaks, metal pitting, paint or coating delamination under normal wear.
  • Electronic defects — camera module, microphone array, speaker drivers, Bluetooth chip, touchpad, charging pin.
  • Battery — retention of at least 80% of rated capacity through year 2. If your battery drops below that, it’s a warranty claim.
  • Lens coatings — anti-reflective, photochromic transition behavior, and sunglass tint integrity.

What’s Not Covered

  • Accidental damage — drops, crushing, sitting on them, running them through the wash. (We handle these as paid repairs, see below.)
  • Cosmetic wear — scratches, scuffs, arm-tip compression, minor discoloration from skin contact over time.
  • Water damage beyond IPX4 splash resistance. OXIVUE frames are rain-and-sweat resistant but not swim-proof.
  • Modifications — third-party lens swaps, unauthorized repairs, opening the electronics housing.
  • Loss or theft. File a home/renter’s or travel-insurance claim for these.

How to File a Claim

  1. Email orders@oxivue.com with your order number (format: OXV-XXXXXXXX), a short description of the issue, and 2–3 photos if the defect is visible.
  2. We respond within one business day with a decision. If it’s covered, we issue a prepaid return label.
  3. You ship the frame back. We inspect, then either repair and return, or send a replacement — typically within 10 business days of receiving it.

Outside the Warranty Window (or Not Covered)

Frames more than 2 years old, or frames with accidental damage, are still repairable through our paid service program. Email us the photos and we’ll quote a flat fee — usually $30–$90 depending on the component.

Pre-Orders

The 2-year warranty window starts on the day your frame ships, not the day you placed the pre-order. You have nothing to worry about if the gap between order and delivery is months — you get a full 24 months from the ship date.

Transferability

The warranty covers the original purchaser and is not transferable to subsequent owners. If you bought your OXIVUE second-hand, paid repair is available.

International Customers

Warranty coverage is identical worldwide. For international warranty claims we cover outbound shipping from our repair center back to you; you cover the return leg unless the defect is discovered within 30 days of delivery (in which case we cover both legs).
