Chapter 01 — The story
The first production OXIVUE. Light enough to forget. Sharp enough to catch what you almost missed.
Three lenses. One frame. Seven hours of quiet readiness. The M08 is what Oliver wore the day he finally saw his daughter take a step. Wear it to the park. Wear it to the birthday. Wear it while you make breakfast and she walks across the kitchen floor. When she does, all you have to do is look.
A pair of 42-gram TR90 Italian frames. An 8-megapixel camera set flush into the corner of the frame — small, but there. Open-ear audio that leaves your ears free for the room. And a single touch that records — or doesn't. Because always on is not what a pair of glasses was ever supposed to be.
We were already in the kitchen when she went. A single touch and it was on a card I pulled off that night. The frame is so light I actually forgot I was wearing it. The only reason I didn't miss the moment is because the M08 was already there.
Went from the house, to the car, to a lunch on the terrace, to a museum. Never took them off. The tint transition is smooth enough that I stopped thinking about it. Battery held for a full day of casual shots.
Capture quality is better than I expected for 8 MP. Open-ear audio is polite; people can still hear me fine. Only half a star off because the magnetic charging case is sold separately — felt like it should have been included at this price.
I've tried the big-brand ones. They all look like wearables. The M08 looks like a pair of Italian acetates and that is the whole point. The camera is hidden well. Nobody at dinner noticed.
I use the live translation in meetings with overseas clients. Lag is there but acceptable. The barrier-free conversation mode saved an awkward coffee with a supplier last week. Would buy again.
Well the glasses worked in the sense they turned on but they aren't efficient what so ever. I could be holding my phone directly in front of me but the glasses are going to record my ceiling fan and if I'm lucky it'll catch the top half inch of my phone. I bought these to use while I'm at work, I get to work and record a 10 minute video only to find out I've been recording the lights up above me almost the entire time and the only way to actually record what's in front of you is by looking at your feet. I know this review wont make it to your website because your moderation system is meant to shield your misleading product not to mention the fact you strictly put in your policy "Unmet expectations are not refundable." just tells me you're aware of these being misleading and choose to keep pushing the product. Obviously I know this review will achieve nothing but it made me feel better while I sit at work staring at this bulky waste of money. Appreciate it!
Was skeptical, now I'm a convert. These glasses are ridiculously fun in the first week and genuinely useful after that. Best tech purchase I've made this year — buy them, you won't regret it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I usually don't review products, but after two weeks with these, I feel like I should. I ordered M08 mostly out of curiosity — but they've quietly become part of my daily routine. The display is crisp enough to read notifications clearly, even outdoors, and the battery genuinely lasts through a full day of use. They're comfortable enough that I forget I'm wearing them, which is exactly what I hoped for. If you're on the fence, I'd say go for it — just set realistic expectations and you won't be disappointed.
Founder's note — not a customer review, so read it with that in mind. I'm Sharp. I helped design the M08, and I wear the Photochromic variant every day in Ho Chi Minh. The reason this was our first frame is the same reason OXIVUE exists: a father in Milan in 2022 missing his daughter's first step because he was holding up a phone. M08 is built around that moment — understated body, 8MP camera on your face, so you don't have to choose between being there and catching it. Honest caveats: 7H music / 4H call / 2H charge makes it a daytime frame, not a 16-hour device. 42g is light for what it does, but you'll notice it more than a pair of reading glasses. OXIVUE M08 supports 40+ languages. Translation and AI assistance require a paired smartphone, the companion app and an internet connection. Translation is heard through open-ear audio; there is no display in the lenses.
OXIVUE M08 records where your head is pointing, not where your eyes are looking — the camera is fixed in the temple, at eye height, facing straight ahead. To film something below eye level (a phone screen, a worktop, a child), tilt your head toward it. Glancing down with your eyes alone will film the room in front of you, not what you are looking at.
