Every OXIVUE frame is built around TR90 — Italian nylon that flexes without going loose. Frames are sized to fit medium-to-large faces comfortably. Here’s what you can expect before your first pair arrives.
Current Lineup Sizing
The M08, M02C and M08C share one rectangular two-lens silhouette, measured the way opticians measure frames:
- Lens width — 52 mm. Medium-to-large lens coverage.
- Bridge — 18 mm. Fits most nose bridges, low-profile design.
- Temple — 145 mm. Standard adult length; hinges accommodate wider head shapes.
- Lens height — 42 mm.
- Weight — ~42g (M08 family), ~41g (M02C), with electronics on board.
The M14 is a different object — a one-piece wrap-around shield rather than a two-lens frame — so it is quoted as overall dimensions instead:
- Overall size — 150 × 56 × 169 mm (width × height × length).
- Weight — 52 g, with electronics on board.
- Construction — TR90 frame, PC temples, single PC shield lens.
By Face Shape
- Round face — M08C (angular Boardroom) or M14 (sharp Silhouette) create contrast.
- Square face — M08 (softer Family Frame) or M02C (rounded Everyday) balance strong features.
- Oval face — almost any frame works; pick by occasion.
- Heart-shaped face — M02C (round Everyday) or M08C (metal-trim Boardroom) widen the jawline visually.
What the First Day Feels Like
Smart glasses sit slightly heavier than a prescription pair — you’ll notice the weight on the bridge for 15–30 minutes, then it disappears. The TR90 softens as it warms to your skin. The arms have memory flex — gentle bending over a hot cup of tea (really) adjusts the spread in minutes.
How to Measure Your Current Pair
If you already own glasses you love, flip them and look on the inside of the arm. Most pairs list three numbers like 52□18–145 — lens width, bridge, temple length. Match those to our spec above for a reliable fit prediction.
Prescription Lenses
The M08, M02C and M08C ship with interchangeable non-prescription lenses — photochromic, sunglass or clear. The M14 sports shield has a fixed one-piece lens with no swap option. Prescription compatibility is on the Season Two roadmap with no committed date. The most common workaround is contact lenses — the frames sit over them exactly as sunglasses do.
