What are Meta adventure glasses?

When people search for “Meta adventure glasses,” they almost always mean the Meta Glasses Adventurer. Meta sells camera glasses under three names: Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta carry EssilorLuxottica’s fashion and sport labels, and Meta Glassesis the line Meta launched under its own name with EssilorLuxottica on June 23, 2026, “starting at just $299.” The Adventurer is one of its styles, alongside Fury, Capri, Nova and Starfire. Meta describes it as “a classic rectangular silhouette designed for everyday wear.”

Despite the name, it is not a sport frame. Inside, it works like the rest of Meta’s camera glasses: a 12 MP camera, open-ear speakers, six microphones and Meta AI, which you wake by saying “Hey Meta” to ask questions, take photos, translate conversations or place calls. Meta Adventurer price by version

Meta’s shop page lists the Adventurer in 10 colours “From $249.” We opened each version on meta.com on September 30, 2026. The price depends on the lens and the charging case, not the frame colour.

The $249 version is the new entry price for all of Meta’s own-brand glasses, and the only difference Meta lists is the case: a compact plug-in charger that tops the glasses up when it is connected to power, rather than the foldable case that carries up to 40 hours of extra charge in your pocket. Meta says it reaches 90% in about 75 minutes. On September 30 it was a pre-order with an estimated delivery of October 23. Meta Adventurer sizes: Standard vs Large

The Adventurer is the only Meta Glasses style Meta’s launch post lists in two sizes. The spec sheet gives these measurements:

Hinge to hinge is the number to compare with a pair of glasses you already own: if yours measure around 129 mm across, Standard is the closer match; around 134 mm, Large. Beyond size, the configurator offers a High bridge fit on the regular colours, and the nose pads adjust by 15° with three positions. Meta says the frames are designed for ages 13 and up. In the US you can try them on at a Meta Lab store.

Meta Adventurer colours and lenses

The frames we found are Classic Black, Classic Tortoise, Merlot, Linen and, for the LISA Edition, Moonlit Sky. Lens choices are clear, brown sun, grey polarized and Transitions in grey, ruby or sapphire; Meta says its Transitions lenses block 100% of UVA and UVB. A simple way to pick:

1. Decide on prescription first. If you need one, start from a clear frame and add lenses within -12.00 to +2.25 total power.
2. Choose the size by hinge-to-hinge width, as above.
3. Choose the lens: clear for indoors, brown or polarized grey for sun, Transitions if you want one pair for all day.
4. Choose the case: the $249 plug-in version only if you do not need charge on the go and are happy with Black and Grey.

The wireless case is colour-matched to the frame; a spare costs $89 in five colours, and the plug-in case is not sold separately.

Meta Adventurer specs

Meta Adventurer LISA Edition

The Adventurer LISA Edition is an official version designed with the singer LISA, listed on meta.com at $399in Moonlit Sky with Blush lenses. Meta says the technical features are the same as the standard Adventurer. What changes is the design: a unique colour finish, custom star accents on the temple tips, a low nose bridge for wider facial coverage, a collectible charm inspired by one of LISA’s pets, and its own charging case. It is a $100 premium over the $299 Adventurer for those details. Meta also lists a Capri LISA Edition at the same price.

Is there a monthly fee, and are Meta Adventurer glasses worth it?

There is no subscription listed for the glasses. Meta’s page notes that music features powered by Spotify need their own account and that fees may apply. The monthly figures beside the price are optional Affirm financing.

The Adventurer is worth it if you want Meta AI, a 12 MP camera with 3K video and prescription lenses in an understated frame, at the lowest price Meta charges for that combination. The prescription range is narrower than on Ray-Ban Meta, though: Meta lists -12.00 to +6.00 for Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 and Oakley Meta HSTN against -12.00 to +2.25 for the Adventurer, so strong long-sight prescriptions may not fit. It is a weaker choice if you mainly want photos, music and calls, if you want a lighter frame, or if you would rather not run your glasses through a Meta account. When the camera records, it is good practice to tell people nearby; rules on filming vary by place.

Meta Adventurer alternatives under $200

Buy it if you want Meta AI with your prescription.
