Meta Fury glasses: price, specs, fit and who they suit.

Meta Fury is the bold square style in Meta's own-name glasses line. Everything Meta-related on this page comes from meta.com, read on September 30, 2026: the price, the full spec sheet, the sizes and the lens options. After that, how the Fury compares with its siblings and with camera glasses that cost less. We have not tested the Fury ourselves.

What Meta Fury glasses are

Meta sells camera glasses under three names. Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta carry EssilorLuxottica’s fashion and sport labels. Meta Glasses is the line Meta sells under its own name, launched with EssilorLuxottica in June 2026, and the Meta Furyis one of its styles. Meta’s product page describes it as “a modern square frame with a comfortable, customizable fit for those who prefer a bolder look.”

Inside the frame, the Fury works like the rest of Meta’s camera glasses: a 12 MP ultra-wide camera, open-ear speakers, a six-microphone array and Meta AI, which you wake by saying “Hey Meta.” There is no display in the lens; the only Meta glasses with a screen are the separate Meta Ray-Ban Display. If you want the whole feature list explained, our guide to what Meta glasses do covers it feature by feature.

Meta Fury price: how much are Fury Meta glasses?

On September 30, 2026, meta.com listed the Meta Fury at $299. That was the price on both colourways we opened (Classic Black with Brown Gradient lenses, and Racing Green with Light Blue Atlantic lenses), and Meta’s shop page lists the Fury in 7 colors “From $299.” The price includes a foldable charging case; a spare case is $89. Meta also showed Affirm financing from $24.92 a month, a trade-in credit of up to $89, and HSA/FSA eligibility.

Prescription lenses are priced on top when you configure them. There is also a Meta Fury Clear Limited Edition with a transparent frame and clear lenses, which Meta says is sold only in its Meta Lab retail stores. Meta Fury specs: camera, battery, weight

These are the figures from the specifications section of the Fury page on meta.com, checked September 30, 2026. They are Meta’s numbers, not our measurements.

Two numbers stand out. The camera is the same 12 MP, 3K camera Meta lists across the Meta Glasses line, so the Fury is not a lower-spec model for its price. And at 59.9 g, it is heavier than many everyday glasses frames; if you wear glasses all day, that is worth trying on before you buy. For how much of that 8 hours goes to video, see how long Meta glasses can record.

Meta Fury style, sizes and lenses

The Fury is a square shape in an injected frame, and Meta sells it in one size with two fits: Standard and High bridge. The Standard dimensions on the spec sheet are a 51 mm lens width, a 22 mm bridge, 150 mm temples, a 41 mm lens height and 131 mm hinge to hinge. Meta adds 3-way adjustable nose pads, flexible over-extension hinges, and says the glasses are designed for ages 13 and up.

  • Lenses. Meta offers clear, blue-violet light filter, sun and Transitions lenses. Its FAQ says its Transitions lenses block 100% of UVA and UVB.
  • Prescription. Total power -12.00 to +2.25, cylinder up to 6.00, single vision or progressive. Prescription orders on Meta.com are US only.
  • Charging case. A wireless, foldable case comes colour-matched to the frame.

Meta Fury vs Adventurer vs Ray-Ban Meta

The Fury sits in the middle of Meta’s price ladder. Here is where it lands against its nearest siblings, using the figures each meta.com page listed on September 30, 2026.

In other words, you are choosing between the Fury and the Adventurer on looks, and between the Fury and a Ray-Ban Meta on brand, battery and price. Our Meta Adventurer and Fury alternatives guide goes deeper on the two Meta Glasses styles side by side.

How to use Meta Fury glasses

Based on Meta’s product page, setting up and using the Fury looks like this:

  1. Install the Meta AI app on an iPhone with iOS 17 or later or an Android phone with Android 10 or later, and pair the glasses.
  2. Say “Hey Meta” to ask a question, get directions or a local recommendation, or ask for a translation.
  3. Capture hands-freewith “Hey Meta, take a photo,” or record video at up to 3K.
  4. Use the action button, which Meta says can trigger Meta AI or a shortcut you choose.
  5. Call and message by voice, including video calls on WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.
  6. Charge in the case: put the glasses in it to top up wirelessly.

The glasses show a light when the camera records. Recording people is governed by local law, and it is good practice to tell people when you are filming.

Are Meta Fury glasses worth it?

The Fury makes sense for a fairly specific buyer: someone who wants Meta AI (answers about what you see, translation, recommendations), a 12 MP camera with 3K video, prescription lenses, and a frame that looks deliberately bold. Meta.com sets its own delivery and return terms on its store page. For that buyer, $299 sits below the $379 Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 and the $449 Gen 3 for the same camera resolution.

It is a weaker fit if you mainly want hands-free photos, music and calls, which cheaper camera glasses also do; if you want a lighter frame; or if you would rather not run your glasses through a Meta account. On the monthly-fee question: the Fury page lists no subscription for the glasses, but notes that Spotify music features need their own account and that fees may apply.

Meta Fury alternatives under $200

If the price is the sticking point, OXIVUE makes four camera AI glasses under $200. Each has an 8 MP camera, open-ear audio, calls and live translation through the free HeyCyan app, with no Meta account and no subscription. Only you hear translations, through the open-ear speakers. The figures below come from our own product data.

OXIVUE M02C$159~41 g~290 mAh“Hey Cyan” visual AI, IP65, magnetic charging

OXIVUE M14$19952 g4 h listening · 7 h callsBold wrap shield, 139 languages, IPX4, 1080p video

What you give up, plainly: Meta AI, the 12 MP camera and 3K video, prescription lenses (no OXIVUE frame takes them), and Meta’s returns. OXIVUE does not offer refunds except for damage in transit; faults after delivery are covered by a 2-year warranty on eyewear frames through repair or replacement. US orders arrive in 5–9 business days, international orders in 9–14 business days after shipment, and shipping is free from $99. Every spec sits side by side on the comparison page, and our Ray-Ban Meta alternatives guide covers non-Meta options beyond our own.

The closest match in spirit is the M14: if the Fury appeals because it looks bold, the M14 is a wrap-around shield in four finishes rather than a square frame, built for sport. If the appeal is everyday wear at the lowest price, the M08 is the one.

Bottom line

Meta Fury glasses are Meta’s bold square style at $299: 12 MP camera, 3K video, six microphones, Meta AI, over 8 hours of battery and prescription support, at 59.9 g. Buy them if you want Meta AI in that look. If you want hands-free photos, open-ear audio and translation for half the price, start with the OXIVUE M08 at $149 (currently $50 off one pair at checkout, applied automatically), or the M14 at $199 if you want the bolder sport look.

Frequently asked questions

How much are Meta Fury glasses?

Meta Fury glasses were $299 on meta.com on September 30, 2026, in each colourway we checked, with a foldable charging case in the box. Meta's shop page lists the Fury in 7 colors from $299, and offers Affirm financing from $24.92 a month. Prescription lenses are priced separately when you configure them.

What is the difference between Meta Fury and Meta Adventurer?

The frame. Meta describes the Fury as a modern square frame for people who want a bolder look, and the Adventurer as a clean rectangle. Both are Meta Glasses with the same 12 MP camera, 3K video and over 8 hours of battery. The Adventurer starts lower, at $249 for a black-and-grey version with a plug-in case, against $299 for the Fury.

Is there a monthly fee for Meta Fury glasses?

The Fury page does not list a subscription for the glasses themselves. It notes that music features powered by Spotify need a separate account and that fees may apply. The $24.92 a month shown on the page is optional Affirm financing for the $299 price, not a service fee.

How long does the Meta Fury battery last?

Meta rates the Fury at over 8 hours of use on a charge, with up to 40 additional hours from a fully charged case. The Meta Glasses line page adds up to 23 hours in standby. These are Meta's figures; heavy video recording uses battery faster than typical mixed use.

Can you get Meta Fury glasses with prescription lenses?

Yes. Meta lists the Fury as prescription ready for a total power range of -12.00 to +2.25, with cylinder up to 6.00, in single-vision and progressive lenses. Prescription orders through Meta.com are US only; elsewhere Meta says you can take the frame to an optician of your choice.

How do you use Meta Fury glasses?

Install the Meta AI app on an iPhone running iOS 17 or later or an Android phone on Android 10 or later, pair the glasses, then say "Hey Meta" to ask a question, take a photo, record video or place a call. The dedicated action button can trigger Meta AI or a shortcut you choose. Photos and videos move to your phone through the app.

Are Meta Fury glasses worth it?

They are worth it if you want Meta AI, a 12 MP camera with 3K video and prescription support in a bold square frame, and $299 fits your budget. They are less of a fit if you mainly want photos, music and calls, or if 59.9 g on your face is more than you want; camera glasses without Meta AI start at $149.

What is a cheaper alternative to Meta Fury glasses?

Inside Meta's range, the Meta Adventurer starts at $249. Outside it, OXIVUE's M08 is $149 with an 8 MP camera, open-ear audio, calls and 40+ language translation in a free app, at about 42 g. You give up Meta AI, 3K video, prescription lenses and Meta's returns; OXIVUE has no Meta account or subscription.
