Gemini glasses: what you can buy today, and what is only announced

Gemini glasses means two different things in search results: the eyewear Google announced with Samsung, Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, which has a fall window and no price, and pairs already listed for sale whose makers name Gemini on their pages. This guide separates the two, with every claim dated and taken from the maker's own page or a named outlet.

1. The short version: what is on sale and what is only announced

Search for Gemini glasses and two different things come back. One is the eyewear Google announced on May 19, 2026 with Samsung, Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, which Google says will put Gemini on glasses. It came with a fall window, and on October 31, 2026 none of the maker pages we could read gave a price or a way to buy it. The other is a short list of products listed for sale whose makers put the word Gemini on their own pages. They are different purchases, and this page keeps them apart.

For products that have not been released, each status below is one of three words. Announced means the maker said it on its own page. Reported means a named outlet said it, and we give the outlet and date. No announcement found means we looked on October 31, 2026 and did not find it on a maker page we could read. We have not tested any of these glasses, so we say nothing about how well Gemini works on them.

2. What Google has actually announced

Google’s Keyword post “Intelligent eyewear is coming this fall” (May 19, 2026) says audio glasses are launching first, “coming later this fall”. Display glasses get no date: the post describes them as glasses that show “the information you need, right when you need it”, and its closing line is only “Stay tuned for more in the coming months”. Google’s Android XR page (checked October 31, 2026) repeats that: audio glasses “Coming soon” and display glasses “Stay tuned”, and its FAQ says “The first collections of audio glasses will be launching this fall.” Neither page states a price.

What Google says Gemini will do on the glasses (announced in the May 19, 2026 post; we have not tested any of it):

  • Wake and ask.Say “Hey Google” or tap the side of the frame, then ask about what is in view, such as a restaurant, clouds or a parking sign.
  • Navigate and communicate. Turn-by-turn directions based on your location and which way you face, calls, texts and summaries of missed messages.
  • Capture. Photos and videos, with picture edits made in a single command using Nano Banana.
  • Translate. Real-time translations, and looking at text on menus and signs to hear a translation.
  • Do tasks. Jobs handled while your phone stays in your pocket, such as preparing a DoorDash coffee order that leaves you only the final confirmation, plus apps such as Uber (order a ride) and Mondly (learn a language).

Google also says the glasses pair with both Android and iOS phones. Samsung, Gentle Monster and Warby Parker are named as partners, and the post says the designs launch as part of Gentle Monster’s and Warby Parker’s full collections “later this year”. Warby Parker’s own page returned an access error (HTTP 403) when we tried to read it, so we quote nothing from it; we found no Warby Parker price or date on any page we could open. For what to buy while you wait, see our Google Android XR glasses alternatives.

3. What Samsung, Gentle Monster and Warby Parker add

Gentle Monster’s Intelligent Eyewear page (checked October 31, 2026) says the debut collection is “arriving this fall”. It says that “With Google Gemini” the collection supports real-time translation, navigation, contextual assistance and visual understanding, and that it provides up to 9 hours of battery life on a single charge, with a charging case that supports 7 or more additional charges. It describes compatibility with Android and iOS devices and adds that “Some features require setup or subscription.” The page offers an email sign-up, with no price and no buy button. Our Gentle Monster smart glasses guide quotes that page in detail.

Two outlets add what the makers have not. Road to VR (July 22, 2026) reported that Gentle Monster and Warby Parker showed two new designs at Samsung Unpacked in London, that the new designs still had no names, and that all four designs shown so far were expected “sometime this fall”. It also reported Samsung saying they use the Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 platform, and that release dates and prices were unknown. GSMArena’s first look (July 23, 2026) reported that both pairs run Android XR with no screens inside, with speakers that work with Gemini, cameras that let Gemini see your surroundings, and the ability to record first-person video and take photos. It described a visible camera and an LED indicator on the Gentle Monster pair, and no official product name beyond Samsung’s “Intelligent Eyewear”.

Taken together, those pages give a fall window and no price, with the pairs described as audio glasses without screens. It is still a picture of products we found no way to buy, and we have tested none of them. Samsung’s own newsroom pages timed out when we tried to read them, so see our Samsung smart glasses guide for the statements we have dated from there.

4. Pairs that name Gemini and are listed for sale now

Two products listed for sale that we found carry a Gemini claim from their own makers, and they are very different objects. A third, Samsung’s headset, is here only because it is the Android XR product with a buy link.

  • XREAL Aura.XREAL’s page (checked October 31, 2026) says Aura is “Powered by Android XR” and that Gemini “works alongside you in any app” and can answer questions about “what you’re seeing and doing”. These are display glasses with a 70° field of view and a “Split-Compute Design”: the glasses (95 g) connect by USB-C to a separate computing puck (265 g). The page showed $1,099 (12GB + 256GB) and $1,299 (16GB + 512GB) on October 31, 2026 as offer prices, so they may change; check XREAL’s site for the current figure. It is a display product with a separate puck, a different kind of device from the audio glasses Google announced first.
  • Rokid AI Glasses Style.Rokid’s product page (checked October 31, 2026) carries a banner naming ChatGPT and Gemini, lists a 12 MP Sony IMX681 camera, shows $329.00 (labelled a sale price) and has no display. It lists support for custom lenses from −15.00D to +15.00D. The page does not describe how Gemini is integrated or what it does on the glasses, so the claim tells you the model is named, not how it behaves. Our Rokid glasses alternatives page covers the brand in more detail.
  • Samsung Galaxy XR.This is a headset, not glasses. Google’s Android XR page says “Galaxy XR is here”, adds “Extend reality with the Samsung Galaxy XR headset and Gemini by your side”, and links to a “Buy now” page. Neither the Android XR page nor Samsung’s US XR page showed a price when we checked (October 31, 2026), and we did not open the Buy now page itself.

5. How to check a Gemini claim before you pay

A product page that says “Gemini” is a starting point, not an answer. Five checks take a few minutes:

  • Is it on the maker’s own page?A marketplace listing can repeat a claim the maker never made. Rokid names Gemini on its own product page and again on its home page (checked October 31, 2026); look for the same on any other brand’s site.
  • Which phone and app does it need? Google and Gentle Monster say Android and iOS; no announcement we found names the app.
  • Does any feature need setup or a subscription? Gentle Monster says some do. Ask what it costs and for how long.
  • Display or no display? The audio-first glasses have none. If you need text in front of your eyes, you are looking at display glasses with a different price and weight.
  • Prescription lenses.Rokid lists support for custom lenses from −15.00D to +15.00D. We found no prescription statement for the Android XR glasses on the pages we read, so ask before you plan around it.

The two Meta pages we read do not say that Ray-Ban Meta uses Gemini: Meta’s “How to charge AI glasses” help page names the Meta AI app and does not mention Gemini or Google, and the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) product page mentions neither (checked October 31, 2026). If your question is about ChatGPT rather than Gemini, see ChatGPT glasses.

6. Should you wait for Google’s audio glasses?

Wait if you want Gemini specifically and can live with unknowns. On October 31, 2026 the price, the exact date, the app and any prescription option were all “no announcement found” on the pages we could read, Gentle Monster says only that some features require setup or subscription, and Google’s own page still lists the audio glasses as “Coming soon”. A display is not a reason to wait for the first announced pairs, because those are audio glasses described as having no screens inside, and display glasses have no timing at all.

If what you want is a pair of glasses with a camera, open-ear audio and translation that you can order now, you do not need to settle the Gemini question first. The category exists today from several makers, with the assistant as one feature among several. Our AI glasses vs smart glasses guide explains the difference, and smart glasses for Android covers phone compatibility.

7. Where OXIVUE fits, and where it does not

OXIVUE does not publish which AI model powers the M02C’s voice-activated visual assistant, so this page makes no claim that any OXIVUE frame uses, runs or works with Gemini, or any other named assistant. The OXIVUE frames are camera-and-audio glasses, not a replacement for what Google has announced.

The M02C is $109 at checkout (listed $159). It has a Sony IMX219 8 MP camera, IP65 protection (dust and water jets, not immersion), magnetic pogo charging, and weighs about 41 g. It is rated for 7 hours of listening and 4 hours of calls and translates 40+ languages through the free companion app on a phone that is nearby and connected. A capture starts only with a touch on the temple, so ask before you record anyone. It has no display and takes no prescription lenses, and it does not run Meta AI. If your priority is translation, our translation glasses page lists the details.

Frequently asked questions

When do Gemini glasses come out?

No exact date has been announced. Google's May 19, 2026 post says audio glasses are "coming later this fall" and gives display glasses no timing, and Gentle Monster's page says its debut collection is "arriving this fall" (checked October 31, 2026). Road to VR (July 22, 2026) reported that all four designs shown so far are expected "sometime this fall" and that release dates were still unknown. Google's Android XR page still lists the audio glasses as "Coming soon".

How much do Gemini glasses cost?

No price has been announced for the glasses Google introduced with Samsung, Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. Neither Google's two pages, Gentle Monster's page nor the two outlets we read gave one (checked October 31, 2026). Pairs that already name Gemini are priced by their makers: Rokid's AI Glasses Style showed $329.00 (labelled a sale price) on October 31, 2026, and XREAL's Aura showed $1,099 and $1,299 for its two configurations as offer prices, so those may change. Check each maker's page for the current figure before you order.

Can I buy glasses with Gemini today?

Two pairs listed for sale name Gemini on their makers' own pages, but they are not the glasses Google introduced. Rokid's product page for the AI Glasses Style carries a banner naming ChatGPT and Gemini and an Add To Cart button, and XREAL's Aura page is a shop page with Order Now links for display glasses that XREAL says are powered by Android XR (checked October 31, 2026). We have not tested either, and we did not check Amazon listings; buy from the maker's own page and look for Gemini named there.

Will Gemini glasses have a display?

The first announced pairs are audio glasses, which GSMArena described as having no screens inside. Google says audio glasses launch first and gives display glasses only "Stay tuned", with no date (checked October 31, 2026). GSMArena's July 23, 2026 first look at the Samsung, Gentle Monster and Warby Parker pairs described them as running Android XR without screens on the inside. If you want a display today, XREAL's Aura has one (70° field of view) and connects by USB-C to a separate computing puck, which makes it a different kind of product from those audio glasses.

Is there a Gemini glasses app, and do they work with iPhone?

Google and Gentle Monster both say yes for iPhone, and neither of their pages names a glasses app. Google says the glasses pair with both Android and iOS phones, and Gentle Monster says its eyewear is compatible with Android and iOS devices (checked October 31, 2026). Gentle Monster adds that some features require setup or subscription. On the pages we read, we found no announcement naming an app or describing that subscription, so treat both as unknown until the makers publish them.

Do Ray-Ban Meta glasses use Gemini?

The two Meta pages we read do not say so. Meta's "How to charge AI glasses" help page, which covers Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses, refers to the Meta AI app and does not mention Gemini or Google, and the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) Wayfarer product page mentions neither Gemini nor Google (checked October 31, 2026). Read Meta's own pages for your model to see which assistant it describes.

Do OXIVUE glasses use Gemini?

OXIVUE does not publish which AI model powers the M02C's voice-activated visual assistant, so we make no Gemini claim for any frame. The M02C is $109 at checkout (listed $159), with a Sony IMX219 8 MP camera, IP65 (not immersion), about 41 g, 7 hours of listening and 4 hours of calls. It has no display and takes no prescription lenses.

What these frames won’t do

  • No prescription lenses yet, on any model. If you need vision correction all day, these can't replace your glasses.
  • No display. Nothing appears in your view; you hear answers and capture photos and video.
  • Open-ear speakers leak some sound at high volume and won't block out a loud train or a windy road the way sealed earbuds do.
  • Translation, music, calls and the assistant need your phone nearby and connected. Translation pauses after each sentence, and only you hear the translated audio; the other person reads the reply on your phone.
  • M02C: IP65 resists dust and water jets, not immersion. No swimming, no saltwater.

Check these before you order: see the warranty and refund policy.
