If it is the display model: we are not your alternative
OXIVUE frames put nothing in the lens. No captions, no arrows, no notifications. If a display is the reason you are shopping, stop reading and compare display glasses with each other; a $149 camera-and-audio pair will not do the thing you want, whatever its other virtues. If it is the Style: the trade in three lines
The Rokid Style and the OXIVUE line are the same object: a camera in the front corner, open-ear speakers, microphones, and a phone app that supplies the assistant and the translation. We will not summarise Rokid’s spec sheet for you — read theirs and ours side by side. The differences that are structural rather than numerical:
- Price. Rokid lists the Style at $299. OXIVUE frames are $99 at checkout (M08), $159 (M02C), $119 at checkout (M08C) and $149 at checkout (M14) — every one under $200, before the site-wide new-customer offer that is applied at checkout.
- Lenses. The M08 family ships with three interchangeable lens options — sunglasses, clear, photochromic — chosen at purchase, not bought as a bundle.

Two things we say plainly because they matter to a Rokid shopper: OXIVUE frames do not offer prescription lenses (the prescription guide is candid), and the camera is 8 MP — a phone-class sensor for eyeline photos and 1080p clips, not a flagship.

What these frames won’t do
- No prescription lenses yet, on any model. If you need vision correction all day, these can't replace your glasses.
- No display. Nothing appears in your view; you hear answers and capture photos and video.
- Open-ear speakers leak some sound at high volume and won't block out a loud train or a windy road the way sealed earbuds do.
- Translation, music, calls and the assistant need your phone nearby and connected. Translation pauses after each sentence, and only you hear the translated audio; the other person reads the reply on your phone.
- M02C: IP65 resists dust and water jets, not immersion. No swimming, no saltwater.
- M08: no published water rating, so keep it out of heavy rain and spray.
- M14: one-piece shield, so the lens can't be swapped for clear or photochromic.
- M14: IPX4 covers splash, spray and rain only, and at 52 g it is heavier than the 41–42 g frames.
