Which Meta glasses come with clear lenses

Clear is a lens colour you choose on the product page, not a separate model. These are the Meta frames we found listed with clear lenses on meta.com on September 30, 2026, cheapest first. Prices are Meta’s “from” figures for the clear version where Meta showed one.

Can you get clear Meta glasses? How to order them

Yes, and it takes one choice on the product page. On meta.com:

1. Open the frame you want (for example Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer Gen 2).
2. Under Lens color, pick Clear. The price updates to the clear version.
3. Choose the frame colour and the fit (Meta offers Standard and High bridge on several Ray-Ban Meta frames).
4. If you need a prescription, use Shop prescription instead. Meta lists an Rx range of −12.00 to +6.00 on the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 Wayfarer and −12.00 to +2.25 on the Meta Adventurer LISA Edition on its compare page, and marks Rx lenses as HSA and FSA eligible.
5. Check the delivery estimate and add to bag.

Retailers such as ray-ban.com, optical chains and electronics stores also sell clear-lens versions; their colour names can differ slightly from Meta’s.

Clear vs Transitions vs sun lenses on Meta glasses

Meta sells three kinds of lens on most frames, plus polarized sun lenses on some. The Wayfarer shows the price step clearly.

So Transitions add $80 on the Wayfarer in both generations. Whether that is worth it depends on how often you cross a doorway. Meta glasses clear lens: what Meta says it filters

On the Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer Gen 2 in Matte Black with clear lenses, Meta describes the lenses as “featuring a blue-violet light filter that protects your eyes from digital screens, indoor fluorescent light and even sun rays,” with the footnote that it “filters at least 20% of blue light between 380nm-450nm.” That is Meta’s claim for that product; we have not measured it. The other clear-lens pages we read did not repeat the filter, so read the page for the exact frame and colour you buy rather than assuming every clear lens has it.

A clear lens is not sunglasses. It doesn’t cut glare, so it won’t replace a tinted pair on a bright beach or a long drive into the sun.

Meta glasses with clear lenses for indoor and office use

The main reason to pick clear is that you can keep the glasses on indoors without making the room look dim or looking like you’re wearing sunglasses in a meeting. That matters for smart glasses in particular, because the features you use at a desk (calls through the open-ear speakers, voice questions, reminders, music between meetings) only work while the glasses are on your face.

• Calls and meetings: clear lenses look like ordinary glasses on a video call and across a table.
• Screens: no tint between you and the monitor.

• Battery: a full workday can outlast the glasses. Meta lists up to 8 hours for Gen 2 and up to 9 hours for Gen 3, plus top-ups from the charging case.

Can I change my Meta glasses lenses to clear?

Meta sells each pair with its lens fitted and routes prescription lens orders through its Prescription Center when you buy. We couldn’t find a Meta page offering to swap the lenses on a pair you already own to plain clear, so we won’t tell you it’s possible. Ask Meta support or an optician before paying for a lens change, and ask what it does to the warranty. If you haven’t bought yet, choose Clear as the lens colour; it is one of the cheaper options.

Smart glasses with clear lenses for less

Clear Meta glasses are easy to get: pick Clear as the lens colour. On September 30, 2026 that meant $299 for a Meta Adventurer or Capri, $379 for a Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer Gen 2 and $449 for Gen 3, with Transitions $80 more on the Wayfarer and no plain clear option on the Oakley Meta Vanguard.
