Skyler Meta glasses: the cat-eye Ray-Ban Meta, every colour, size and spec.

The Skyler is the cat-eye shape in the Ray-Ban Meta line, and it has been sold in two generations that look alike and differ a lot inside. This guide puts the prices, all eight Gen 2 colour and lens combinations, the single frame size, the weight and the specs in one place, read off Meta's own pages on September 30, 2026. We have not tested the Skyler; every figure is Meta's. It ends with cheaper options, including ours.

What are Ray-Ban Meta Skyler glasses?

The Skyler is one of the frame shapes in the Ray-Ban Meta range, and Meta’s spec table lists its shape simply as “cat eye”. Meta describes it as combining “a jet-set vibe with Meta AI”. Inside, a Skyler is the same technology as the Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer of the same generation: a 12 MP ultra-wide camera, open-ear speakers in the arms, five microphones and Meta AI, all run through the Meta AI app with a Meta account. There is no display in the lens.

There have been two generations. Skyler (Gen 1) is the original, now discounted and out of stock on meta.com. Skyler (Gen 2)is the current one, with longer battery life and 3K video. When Meta announced Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 on September 23, 2026, it came in three styles, Aviator, Wayfarer and a new cat-eye called Zena, from $449. There is no Skyler Gen 3, so a “Meta Skyler Gen 2” is the newest Skyler you can buy. For the whole Ray-Ban line, see our Ray-Ban smart glasses guide.

How much are the Skyler Meta glasses?

These are the prices on meta.com in the US on September 30, 2026. Meta changes prices and runs sales, so check the product page before you buy.

Prescription lenses are an extra on top of these prices. Meta’s Gen 1 page points buyers to Gen 2 “for newer styles and tech”, so read its sale prices as end-of-line pricing on the older model, not a lower everyday price for the Skyler. Every other Meta frame’s price is in our Meta glasses price list.

Ray-Ban Meta Skyler colours and lenses (Gen 2)

Meta’s Skyler Gen 2 page offered eight frame and lens combinations on September 30, 2026. We clicked through each swatch and recorded the names exactly as Meta shows them:

Frame colourLensPrice
Shiny BlackClear$379
Shiny BlackGreen (sun)$379
Shiny BlackGradient Graphite (polarized)$409
Shiny BlackClear to Graphite Green Transitions$459
Shiny BlackClear to Amethyst Transitions$459
Shiny Mystic VioletClear to Amethyst Transitions$459
Shiny Chalky GrayClear to Sapphire Transitions$459
Shiny Transparent PeachClear to Brown Transitions$459

So the Skyler Gen 2 comes in four frame colours: Shiny Black in five lens options, and Shiny Mystic Violet, Shiny Chalky Gray and Shiny Transparent Peach each with one Transitions lens. Transitions lenses, Meta says, go from clear indoors to tinted outdoors and block 100% of UVA and UVB. Gen 1 offered four combinations: Shiny Black with clear, green or Tint to Cerulean Blue Transitions, and Shiny Chalky Gray with Clear to Sapphire Transitions.

Skyler size, fit and weight

The Skyler comes in one size. Unlike the Wayfarer, there is no Large option; Meta lists the fit as “Standard & High bridge”. The numbers are the same for both generations:

  • Lens width: 52 mm
  • Bridge width: 20 mm
  • Temple length: 150 mm
  • Lens height: 42 mm
  • Hinge to hinge: 133 mm
  • Weight: 53 g (Gen 2), 50 g (Gen 1); charging case 133 g

The quickest way to judge fit is to read the three numbers printed inside the arm of glasses you already wear and compare them with 52-20-150. Meta also offers virtual try-on on the product page and in-person try-on at Meta Lab stores. Meta says the frame is designed for ages 13 and up. Meta Skyler Gen 2 vs Gen 1: the specs

The two upgrades that matter are battery, which Meta says doubles to up to 8 hours, and video, which gains a 3K mode. The camera sensor resolution, storage and frame dimensions do not change, and Gen 2 is 3 g heavier. For the same comparison across all frames, see Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 vs Gen 1.

What is the difference between Wayfarer and Skyler Meta glasses?

Within the same generation, only the frame. Meta lists the Wayfarer Gen 2 as a square shape in two sizes, while the Skyler is a cat-eye in one:

Skyler (Gen 2)Wayfarer (Gen 2) StandardWayfarer (Gen 2) Large

Weight53 g51 g53 g
Starting price$379$379$379

The Skyler has a narrower bridge than either Wayfarer and a lens width between the two Wayfarer sizes. If you want a cat-eye with the newest Gen 3 hardware, Meta’s Zena is the Gen 3 option, from $449; Meta also lists its own Capri as a cat-eye at $299.

Cheaper options than the Skyler

The cheapest official route into a Skyler is Meta’s refurbished Gen 1 from $227, with Meta’s one-year limited warranty; you get the original 4-hour battery and no 3K video. Watch for Gen 1 sale stock coming back, but do not plan around it.

If what draws you to the Skyler is a camera, music and calls in a frame that looks like ordinary glasses, and you do not need Meta AI or prescription lenses, these are the options we make. To be plain: none of them is a cat-eye.

  1. OXIVUE M08C, $169. The dressier frame: gold or silver metal trim, about 42 g, an 8 MP Sony IMX219 camera, open-ear audio and 40+ language translation, with clear, sun or photochromic lenses.
  2. OXIVUE M02C, $159.Our lightest camera frame at about 41 g, rated IP65, with the “Hey Cyan” visual assistant.
  3. OXIVUE M08, $149. The lowest price, about 42 g, with an 8 MP camera and a 7-hour battery.
  4. OXIVUE M14, $199. A 52 g sport wrap shield with 139-language translation, for riding and skiing rather than everyday style.

The M08, M02C and M08C share one 52-18-145 rectangle frame with a 42 mm lens height, sized for medium-to-large faces: the same lens width and height as the Skyler, with a narrower bridge and shorter arms. They pair with the free HeyCyan app (a free sign-up, no Meta or social-media account, no subscription). There is no display, we do not supply prescription lenses, and translation is heard only by the wearer. Each has a 2-year warranty on the frame and free shipping from $99. More style-first picks are in stylish smart glasses, and every spec sits side by side on the compare page.

Bottom line

The Skyler is the Ray-Ban Meta cat-eye, sold in one 52-20-150 size. Buy the Gen 2: from $379 on meta.com, it has double the Gen 1 battery and adds 3K video, in four frame colours and eight lens combinations. Gen 1 is out of stock new, and a refurbished one starts at $227. If you want a camera and open-ear audio in a refined everyday frame for less, and can live without the cat-eye shape and Meta AI, the OXIVUE M08C at $169 adds gold or silver trim to an 8 MP Sony camera at about 42 g (currently $50 off one pair at checkout, applied automatically).

Frequently asked questions

How much are the Skyler Meta glasses?

On meta.com on September 30, 2026, Ray-Ban Meta Skyler (Gen 2) cost $379 with clear or green lenses, $409 with polarized lenses and $459 with Transitions lenses. Skyler (Gen 1) was shown at $224 to $284 on sale but every colour was out of stock, and a refurbished Gen 1 Skyler started at $227. Prescription lenses add to the price.

What can Meta Skyler glasses do?

The same as other Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 frames: take 12 MP photos and record video up to 3K Ultra HD, play music and take calls through open-ear speakers, send messages, answer questions with Meta AI, and run live translation in the languages Meta lists. They have no display. They need the Meta AI app and a Meta account.

What is the difference between Wayfarer and Skyler Meta glasses?

Shape and sizing. Meta lists the Skyler as a cat-eye frame in one size, 52 mm lens, 20 mm bridge and 150 mm temples, at 53 g for Gen 2. The Wayfarer Gen 2 is a square frame in two sizes: Standard (50-22-150, 51 g) and Large (53-22-155, 53 g). The camera, battery, speakers and price ($379 for Gen 2) are the same.

Are Ray-Ban Meta Skyler good?

We have not tested the Skyler, so we can only point to what Meta publishes. Gen 2 doubled the battery to up to 8 hours and added 3K video over Gen 1, at 53 g with prescription lenses available. Whether it is good for you depends mostly on fit: it comes in one size, so compare 52-20-150 with glasses you already wear, or try it on first.

Is there a Skyler Gen 3?

Not as of September 30, 2026. Meta announced Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 on September 23, 2026 in three styles: Aviator, Wayfarer and Zena, which Meta calls a bold new cat-eye frame, from $449. On meta.com the Skyler was still sold as Gen 2, with Gen 1 marked out of stock.

Can you get Skyler Meta glasses with prescription lenses?

Yes. Meta's Skyler spec table says the frame accommodates prescriptions from -12.00 to +6.00 total power, and Meta sells prescription lenses on meta.com, with Ray-Ban.com and participating certified retailers as other routes. You need a valid prescription.

Are the Skyler Meta glasses for small faces?

Meta sells the Skyler in one size, with a 52 mm lens width, a 20 mm bridge, 150 mm temples and 133 mm hinge to hinge, in a Standard and High bridge fit. Compare those numbers with the inside of the arm on glasses that already fit you. Meta also offers virtual try-on on the product page.
