Reebok smart glasses: what they do, what they cost, who they suit
Reebok smart glasses are audio sunglasses and prescription-ready optical frames that Lucyd sells under the Reebok name, with no camera in either line. This guide reads Lucyd's own pages on October 31, 2026 for the models, prices, battery, lenses and app, points out where those pages disagree with each other, and says where OXIVUE fits for readers who want a camera.

1. What Reebok smart glasses are, and who makes them
Reebok smart glasses are Reebok-branded audio and optical frames that Lucyd sells on lucyd.co. The site splits them into Reebok Sport (sunglasses with open-ear audio) and Reebok Optical(frames Lucyd lists with prescription lenses), and neither line has a camera (checked October 31, 2026). Everything below comes from Lucyd’s own pages unless it says otherwise.
A press release on lucyd.co announcing two new variants, datelined Miami, December 11, 2025, calls the line the “Reebok Powered by Lucyd Smart Eyewear collection” and describes Innovative Eyewear, Inc. as the manufacturer of smart eyewear sold under the Lucyd, Lucyd Armor, Reebok, Eddie Bauer and Nautica brands. TIME’s entry on the line (October 15, 2026) says it was “Made in partnership with smart eyewear company Lucyd”. Neither that release nor Lucyd’s collection page (checked October 31, 2026) describes the licensing terms, so we describe the arrangement the way the maker does: Reebok branding on eyewear that Innovative Eyewear makes and Lucyd sells.
Reebok’s own site has pages for the glasses too. A Voltage Smart Audio Sunglasses product page and a Sunglasses for Sport collection appeared in Google’s results on October 31, 2026. We could not read their product details when we checked, so the figures here come from lucyd.co, not reebok.com. For Reebok’s own price and stock, check its site.
2. Reebok Sport and Reebok Optical side by side
Lucyd runs the two lines as separate collections with different batteries, prices and prescription rules. The table pulls each figure from the collection and product pages as we read them on October 31, 2026.
| Reebok Sport | Reebok Optical | |
|---|---|---|
| Frames | Octane, Octane Shift, Nitrous, Nitrous Shift, Voltage, Flash | Dash, Thunder, Jet, Shine |
| Price on lucyd.co | $149 each | $249 each |
| Camera | None; the page describes built-in speakers, no camera | None; “camera-free by design” |
| Audio | Open-ear speakers, noise-reducing mics, Bluetooth 5.3 | Open-ear speakers, noise-cancelling mics (Bluetooth version not stated on the pages we read) |
| Battery | “8+ hours” on product pages; FAQ says up to 12 hours of active use | “12-hour battery”, quick charge in about 2 hours |
| Charging | Magnetic, USB charger included | USB-C adapter in the box |
| Prescription | Nitrous, per the collection page | -8.00 to +6.00 SPH, stated for the line |
| Lenses | Polarized per the FAQ; Shift frames listed as clear photochromic | Clear blue-light lens as standard |
| Water | No IP rating; “moisture resistant” | Not stated |
| Voice assistant | “Any AI Assistance”; the free app adds hands-free AI | Siri, ChatGPT or any assistant, switchable |
| Warranty | 1-year limited | 1-year limited |
Lucyd’s pages word a few details differently from one another, and the next two sections flag each place we found it. Where they differ, trust the page for the exact frame you are about to order.
3. Reebok Sport: audio, battery, lenses and water
The Sport line is six frames at one price. Lucyd’s collection page puts it this way: “Six frames, one price. Open-ear speakers, noise-reducing mics and Bluetooth 5.3 in every pair.” Four details decide whether it fits you.
- Battery. The product pages say “8+ hours of non-stop performance”, while the collection FAQ says “up to 12 hours of active use, as tested.” Read together that is a range of 8 to 12 hours, and Lucyd’s pages (checked October 31, 2026) do not describe how the hours split between listening and calls. Treat 8 hours as the cautious number. Charging is magnetic, with a USB charger in the box.
- Lenses. The FAQ says every Reebok Sport colourway ships with polarized lenses and names EN 12312 (a sun-glare filter standard) as the documented certification. A feature block on the same page says “UV 400”, while the FAQ says Lucyd does not publish a separate UV rating for the line. The product cards label Octane Shift and Nitrous Shift “Clear Photochromic”, the page has separate Polarized and Photochromic filter tabs, and the December 2025 release describes the two Shift variants as light-adaptive frames “designed for use in the gym and indoor sport”. Read the lens line of the exact frame.
- Weight and fit. The collection page gives 50 to 58 g depending on the model. The Nitrous page lists a 60 mm lens, 16 mm bridge and 135 mm temple.
- Water. There is no IP rating. The pages say “moisture resistant”, and the FAQ says Lucyd does not publish a water or sweat rating for the line. That is a gap in the spec, not a statement that the frames fail in wet weather.
Open-ear speakers sit near the ear, so ambient sound stays audible, as Lucyd’s FAQ puts it. Lucyd also sells Boosters at $14.99, which its collection page says fit Reebok Sport and Lucyd Armor and describes as “Bone-conduction tech for instant clarity in noisy environments.” See our Bluetooth sunglasses buyer’s guide for what a listing should state about battery split, polarization and water.
4. Reebok Optical and prescription lenses
Reebok Optical is the line Lucyd lists with prescription lenses: Dash, Thunder, Jet and Shine at $249 each, with a 12-hour battery and a quick charge of about 2 hours on the product pages. Lucyd calls the frames “camera-free by design” and lists open-ear speakers and noise-cancelling mics.
- Prescription range. The FAQ says the line “accepts a full range from -8.00 to +6.00 SPH”, and the product pages list single vision, progressives, bifocals and readers. A clear blue-light lens, which Lucyd says filters about 20% of blue light, ships as standard.
- Lead time and terms.Custom lenses ship in up to 10 business days. They are cut in Lucyd’s in-house lab and are non-refundable once made.
- FSA and HSA.Lucyd’s FAQ says frames ordered with prescription lenses qualify as an FSA/HSA-eligible medical purchase. Confirm with your plan administrator before you rely on it.
- Fit. The Dash lists a 146 mm frame width, 54 mm lens, 18 mm bridge and 153 mm temple in regular fit. The Thunder lists 142, 52, 21 and 153 mm.
On the Sport side, Lucyd’s collection page says only the Nitrous takes prescription lenses, while its October 16, 2026 blog post and TIME’s entry both say two of the six styles are prescription-ready. That is one more reason to read the frame’s own page. For other frames that accept prescriptions, see our prescription smart glasses guide.
5. The Reebok smart glasses app and voice assistants
Lucyd’s Octane Shift page says the glasses “work like regular Bluetooth headphones with any phone”, and its Nitrous page says the free Lucyd app “adds hands-free AI, translation and Walkie-Talkie”. The Sport collection page lists iOS 13+ and Android 8+ (checked October 31, 2026).
The assistant wording differs by line. The Optical product pages say you can “talk to Siri, ChatGPT or any AI assistant on your phone, hands-free” and switch anytime. The Sport pages say “Any AI Assistance” and “real-time answers, directions and more” without naming ChatGPT, and Lucyd’s October 16 blog post says the Sport glasses work with the assistant you already use, naming Siri and Google.
6. Price, where to buy, warranty and returns
On lucyd.co the Sport frames are $149 and the Optical frames $249 as listed (checked October 31, 2026); read the price on the page at the time you order. Lucyd’s product pages say frames ship the next business day. Shipping is stated two ways on its pages: the FAQ says free US shipping on orders over $150, and another line says free standard US shipping. A single $149 frame is below $150, so confirm at checkout.
Lucyd gives a 1-year limited warranty on the frames it lists. Its pages say frames can be returned within 7 days of receipt in the USA, and that prescription lenses are non-refundable. Check those terms before you order; a seller other than Lucyd may set different ones.
Outside lucyd.co, Google’s shopping results on October 31, 2026 showed Reebok frames at Best Buy and Scheels, and “Reebok smart glasses amazon” was one of its related searches. We did not open any retailer listing and quote no retailer price. If the number matters, read it on the listing itself.
7. Who Reebok smart glasses suit, and who should look elsewhere
The glasses suit someone who wants open-ear music, calls and a phone assistant in a sport frame, or in a frame cut for their prescription. TIME lists Reebok Smart Eyewear Powered by Lucyd in its Best Inventions of 2026 collection (entry dated October 15, 2026, checked October 31, 2026), and Lucyd’s October 16 post places it in an audio sunglasses for athletes category. TIME’s entry does not state a price, battery figure or camera.
We have not tested these frames, and we do not repeat anyone’s verdict on them. Google’s video results on October 31, 2026 included a YouTube video titled “Can Reebok Smart Glasses Replace Your Earbuds?” from SportRx (July 25, 2026) and one titled “Smartglasses for running: Reebok by Lucyd Octane review” from Skarredghost (March 26, 2026). We have not watched either, so we do not vouch for what they say.
Look elsewhere if you want a camera or a published water rating. For the maker’s wider range and what sits next to it, read Lucyd alternatives and the price-by-price OXIVUE vs Lucyd comparison. For sport use in general, see smart glasses for sports, for running and for the gym.
8. If you want a camera: OXIVUE M14 and M02C
OXIVUE is not a like-for-like swap for the Reebok frames. It adds a camera, which the Reebok frames do not have, and it does not offer prescription lenses or publish a polarization rating, which Lucyd does for its lenses. OXIVUE frames have no display, take no prescription lenses, do not run Meta AI and use their own free companion app. Capture starts only with a touch on the temple; ask before you record people, and check local law.
| Reebok Sport (lucyd.co) | OXIVUE M14 | OXIVUE M02C | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Camera | None | 8 MP Sony IMX219; video 1080p 30 fps with EIS | 8 MP Sony IMX219, dual stabilisation |
| One pair | $149 | $149 at checkout (listed $199) | $109 at checkout (listed $159) |
| Battery | “8+ hours” | 4 h listening, 7 h calls | 7 h listening, 4 h calls |
| Water | No IP rating published | IPX4 (splash and rain) | IP65 (dust, water jets; not immersion) |
| Weight | 50 to 58 g by model | 52 g | About 41 g |
| Prescription | Nitrous (and Optical line) | No | No |
| Lenses | Polarized per Lucyd (Shift frames photochromic) | Fixed one-piece shield, four colourways; no polarization rating published | Sun, photochromic or clear |
The M14is the wrap-style sport frame: a fixed one-piece shield that cannot be swapped, 139 translation languages through the companion app, and 4 hours of listening against Lucyd’s 8+ hours (Lucyd’s pages do not describe a listening and call split), which matters if music is your main use. The M02C is lighter than the M14, rated IP65, and adds voice-activated visual AI that can describe what you look at. Its photochromic lens darkens in UV and turns close to clear indoors. Compare every OXIVUE model on the comparison page, or see sports sunglasses with a camera.

Frequently asked questions
Who makes Reebok smart glasses?
Innovative Eyewear, Inc., which also makes Lucyd, per its December 11, 2025 press release posted on lucyd.co (checked October 31, 2026). The release calls the line the Reebok Powered by Lucyd Smart Eyewear collection and describes the company as the manufacturer of smart eyewear under the Lucyd, Lucyd Armor, Reebok, Eddie Bauer and Nautica brands. TIME's October 15, 2026 entry says "Made in partnership with smart eyewear company Lucyd". Neither the release nor Lucyd's collection page describes the licensing terms. We could not read reebok.com's product details, so check it for its prices.
How much are Reebok smart glasses?
$149 for each Reebok Sport frame and $249 for each Reebok Optical frame on lucyd.co (checked October 31, 2026). The Sport page says "Six frames, one price" for Octane, Octane Shift, Nitrous, Nitrous Shift, Voltage and Flash. Dash, Thunder, Jet and Shine are $249. Lucyd's FAQ gives free US shipping on orders over $150, so confirm shipping at checkout. Reebok.com and other retailers may price differently, so read the price on the page when you order.
Do Reebok smart glasses have a camera?
No. Lucyd's Reebok Optical page calls its frames "camera-free by design", and its Reebok Sport page describes that line as built-in speakers with no camera (checked October 31, 2026). Both lines are for audio: music, calls and a phone assistant. If you want a camera in sport frames, the OXIVUE M14 is $149 at checkout and the M02C is $109, each with an 8 MP camera, no display and no prescription lenses.
What app do Reebok smart glasses use?
The free Lucyd app. Lucyd's Nitrous page says it "adds hands-free AI, translation and Walkie-Talkie", and the Reebok Sport page lists iOS 13+ and Android 8+ (checked October 31, 2026). The Optical pages say you can talk to Siri, ChatGPT or any AI assistant and switch anytime. The Sport pages we read use the phrase "Any AI Assistance" and do not name ChatGPT, and Lucyd's October 16 blog post names Siri and Google for the Sport line.
Can you get prescription lenses in Reebok smart glasses?
Yes, on some frames. Reebok Optical (Dash, Thunder, Jet, Shine) accepts -8.00 to +6.00 SPH, including progressives, bifocals and readers, per Lucyd's FAQ (checked October 31, 2026). On the Sport line the collection page says only the Nitrous takes a prescription, while Lucyd's October 16 blog post and TIME's entry say two of the six styles are prescription-ready, so check the frame's own page. Custom lenses are non-refundable once made. OXIVUE frames take no prescription lenses.
Are Reebok smart glasses waterproof or sweatproof?
Not rated. Lucyd publishes no water or sweat rating for the Reebok Sport line. The pages say "moisture resistant", and the collection FAQ states that Lucyd does not publish a rating, with a tip to wipe the frames down after sweaty use (checked October 31, 2026). The Optical pages we read give no rating either. Without a stated rating, do not assume they are rated for rain or immersion. For comparison, the OXIVUE M14 is IPX4 (splash and rain) and the M02C is IP65 (dust and water jets, not immersion).
Are Reebok smart glasses on Amazon or at Best Buy?
Best Buy and Scheels, yes. Google's shopping results on October 31, 2026 showed the Octane, Nitrous, Voltage and Flash at Best Buy and the Dash and Thunder at Scheels. For Amazon, "Reebok smart glasses amazon" is one of Google's related searches, but we did not open an Amazon listing. We did not open the other listings either, so we quote no retailer price. Match the model name and the lens before you order, and read that seller's own return terms, which can differ from Lucyd's.

What these frames won’t do
- No prescription lenses yet, on any model. If you need vision correction all day, these can't replace your glasses.
- No display. Nothing appears in your view; you hear answers and capture photos and video.
- Open-ear speakers leak some sound at high volume and won't block out a loud train or a windy road the way sealed earbuds do.
- Translation, music, calls and the assistant need your phone nearby and connected. Translation pauses after each sentence, and only you hear the translated audio; the other person reads the reply on your phone.
- M14: one-piece shield, so the lens can't be swapped for clear or photochromic.
- M14: IPX4 covers splash, spray and rain only, and at 52 g it is heavier than the 41–42 g frames.
- M02C: IP65 resists dust and water jets, not immersion. No swimming, no saltwater.
Check these before you order: see the warranty and refund policy.
