Ray-Ban Meta Aviator and Zena: two of the three Gen 3 styles, priced and sized

If you searched for the Ray-Ban Meta Aviator, you will also meet the Zena, the cat-eye frame in the same Gen 3 range. This guide puts Meta's prices, lens options and prescription limits, and Ray-Ban's sizes, side by side as they stood on October 31, 2026, and says plainly what we could not confirm.

1. What the Ray-Ban Meta Aviator and Zena are

The Aviator and the Zena are two of the three frame styles in the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) range, next to the Wayfarer. Meta’s launch post of September 23, 2026 (checked October 31, 2026) says Gen 3 comes in “27 color and lens combinations across 3 styles”: the Aviator, the Zena (“a bold new cat-eye frame”) and the Wayfarer, with prices starting at $449. Ray-Ban’s India page for the Zena lists its shape as “Cat Eye” (checked October 31, 2026).

Meta describes the hardware for Gen 3 as a whole rather than style by style: a 12 MP camera with 3K Ultra HD video, a six-microphone array, and up to nine hours of battery life, “an hour more than Gen 2”. The text we could retrieve from Meta’s Aviator and Zena product pages (checked October 31, 2026) did not repeat those specs, so treat them as the headline figures for the Gen 3 line and confirm them on the page for the exact pair you buy. For the full Gen 3 spec sheet and how it differs from Gen 2, read our Meta glasses Gen 3 guide.

This page covers what that guide only touches on: what each of the two styles costs, what size each one is, and what each can do for someone who wears prescription lenses. The Wayfarer, the third Gen 3 style, has its own page at Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer.

2. Price: from $449, and $579 for the limited edition

On meta.com the price depends on the frame and lens combination more than on the style. On October 31, 2026 both the Aviator and the Zena had a $449 combination, and the six combinations we read ranged from $449 to $579.

StyleFrame and lensmeta.com price
AviatorHavana, Brown lenses$449
AviatorShiny Black, Polarized Green lenses$479
AviatorHavana, Transitions Brown lenses$529
AviatorLimited Edition, Milky Warm Beige, Transitions Brown lenses$579
ZenaHavana, Gradient Brown lenses$449
ZenaShiny Black, Transitions Graphite Green lenses$529

Read on meta.com, October 31, 2026.Meta’s pages show one price at a time, for the combination selected, so we did not read the price of every combination in the next section; open the one you want before you compare. In the pairs we read, the two Transitions pairs were $80 above the $449 combination of the same style, and the Aviator’s Shiny Black Polarized Green pair was $30 above it. The frame colour changes between those pairs too, so the gap is not a pure lens price. We did not read the price of every Transitions pair.

Those are meta.com prices in US dollars. Ray-Ban also sells these glasses on its own site and through retailers, each with its own price. Ray-Ban’s US pages did not load for us, so check the maker’s site for the current price there.

3. Colours and lens options Meta lists

Each style is listed in six frame and lens combinations on meta.com (checked October 31, 2026), twelve in all. Meta names the lens as part of the colour.

StyleCombinations listed
AviatorHavana with Transitions Brown · Havana with Brown · Limited Edition Milky Warm Beige with Transitions Brown · Shiny Black with Transitions Graphite Green · Shiny Black with Polarized Green · Transparent Umber with Transitions Jade
ZenaHavana with Gradient Brown · Milky Grey Lilac with Transitions Copper · Shiny Black with Clear · Shiny Black with Transitions Graphite Green · Shiny Black with Grey · Shiny Black with Polarized Green

Three kinds of lens appear across the two styles: Transitions lenses, Polarized Green, and lenses named only by colour (Brown, Gradient Brown, Grey or Clear). Of the two, only the Zena lists a Clear lens; none of the six Aviator combinations is named Clear. For how Transitions lenses work on Ray-Ban Meta frames, see our Transitions lenses guide.

4. Size and fit: 54-18 for the Aviator, 49-22 for the Zena

Ray-Ban’s size guide (on its India site, checked October 31, 2026) says the numbers on a temple indicate the lens width and the bridge width, which determine the frame size. Ray-Ban’s product titles on ray-ban.com, as they appeared in search results on October 31, 2026, label the Aviator “54-18” and the Zena “49-22”. The ray-ban.com pages themselves did not load for us, so treat those codes as a pointer and confirm them on the listing you buy. Ray-Ban’s India pages, which did load, give the same numbers and more.

StyleEye sizeBridgeLens heightRay-Ban India size label
Aviator5418 mm46.6 mm“54-L best for more faces”, one size only
Zena4922 mm34.3 mm“49-M best for more faces”, one size only

Ray-Ban India product pages, checked October 31, 2026; the pages give Eye Size without a unit.Read together, the Aviator’s eye size is 5 larger (54 against 49), its lens is about 12 mm taller than the Zena’s, and its bridge is 4 mm narrower. Meta’s US pages are organised differently: both styles show a “Frame size & fit” choice of Standard and High bridge, with size and fit guides linked, and the page text we retrieved gave no millimetres. The regional pages are not identical (Ray-Ban India lists one size only, and its Zena page was marked “Coming Soon”), so use the guide for the store you are buying from.

The most reliable check is a pair you already own. If your usual pair has two numbers printed on a temple and they are close to 54-18 or 49-22, that tells you more than a face-shape chart. Meta’s product pages also offer a “Try on virtually” option for both styles. The text we retrieved from the Aviator and Zena pages did not include a weight; our smart glasses for men guide tabulates the weight and measurements Meta listed for the Aviator when we checked on September 30, 2026.

5. Prescription lenses: -6.00 to +4.00 for the Aviator

Meta’s help page says the Gen 3 Aviator “can support prescriptions -6.00 to +4.00”, against the “-12.00 to +6.00 total power” it gives as the eligible range for Ray-Ban Meta glasses in general (checked October 31, 2026). If your prescription is stronger than the Aviator’s range, ask your optician whether it falls inside before you pick the style.

The same help page does not mention the Zena, so its range is not confirmed here; check it in Meta’s lens-ordering flow before you pay. Meta says you can order prescription lenses directly on Meta.com and Ray-Ban.com, or add them at participating certified retailers. Our Meta glasses prescription guide walks through the ordering routes and what changes the price.

6. The limited-edition Aviator

Meta’s launch post says that, to mark the 90th anniversary of the Ray-Ban Aviator, it is releasing a limited-edition Aviator in a “vintage-inspired colorway”, and it gives no price or colour name for it. On meta.com on October 31, 2026 the Aviator combination Milky Warm Beige with Transitions Brown lenses carried the label “Limited edition”, at $579 with “Add to bag” showing. The post does not say this is the vintage-inspired colorway, so check the listing yourself. The $579 is $50 above the Havana Transitions Brown Aviator at $529.

We found no stated number of pairs and no end date (checked October 31, 2026). If you want it, check availability on the day you plan to buy rather than relying on this page.

7. Aviator or Zena: how to choose

Between the two, the differences we could read on Meta’s and Ray-Ban’s pages are few, so choose on these:

  • Shape and lens size. Ray-Ban India lists the Aviator at eye size 54 with a 46.6 mm lens height, and the Zena at eye size 49 with a 34.3 mm lens height, a shallower cat-eye.
  • A clear lens. Of the two, only the Zena lists a Clear lens (in Shiny Black).
  • Prescription strength. The Aviator is confirmed for -6.00 to +4.00; the Zena’s range is not stated on the page we read.
  • Polarized. Both styles list a Shiny Black pair with Polarized Green lenses.
  • Limited edition.Of the two, only the Aviator carries a “Limited edition” label on the pages we read, at $579.

Not sure which shape suits your face? Use Meta’s virtual try-on, or compare against the numbers on a pair you already wear. Meta’s launch post describes the Gen 3 hardware for the line as a whole, not style by style, so confirm any spec that matters on the page for your pair.

8. OXIVUE: no Aviator, no Zena

OXIVUE does not make an aviator or cat-eye frame. Our eyewear range is the M08, M02C and M08C, which share one frame family (the M08C adds gold or silver metal trim), and the M14 sport shield. If the Ray-Ban Meta look is what you want, none of ours replaces it.

If what you want is a camera and open-ear audio without a display or the Meta price, the M08 is $99 at checkout for one pair (listed $149). It has an 8 MP camera, weighs about 42 g and lists 7 hours of listening and 4 hours of calls. The lens is sun, photochromic or clear; the photochromic one darkens in UV light and turns close to clear indoors. The free companion app handles translation in 40+ languages, heard only by you. It has no display, takes no prescription lenses and does not run Meta AI. Capture starts only with a visible touch on the temple, and you should ask before recording people. Two or more pairs in one order are 50% off all eyewear. Compare every model on the comparison page.

Shipping, refunds and warranty. Free shipping from $99. US orders typically arrive in 5–9 business days. International orders take 9–14 business days after shipment. Import VAT or duties outside the US are paid by the recipient. No refunds except transit damage (replaced or refunded); faults are repaired or replaced under the 2-year warranty; change of mind and unmet expectations are not refundable. None of our frames take prescription lenses. Read the refund policy and the shipping policy.

Frequently asked questions

Does Ray-Ban Meta come in an Aviator?

Yes. Meta's launch post of September 23, 2026 names the Aviator as one of the three Gen 3 styles, and meta.com listed it from $449 when we checked on October 31, 2026, in six frame and lens combinations: Havana with Brown or Transitions Brown lenses, a limited-edition Milky Warm Beige with Transitions Brown, Shiny Black with Transitions Graphite Green or Polarized Green, and Transparent Umber with Transitions Jade. Ray-Ban sells it too; check the maker's site for its current price.

How much is the Ray-Ban Meta Aviator?

From $449 on meta.com (checked October 31, 2026). Havana with Brown lenses costs $449, Shiny Black with Polarized Green lenses $479, Havana with Transitions Brown lenses $529 and the limited-edition Milky Warm Beige with Transitions Brown lenses $579. We did not read the price of the other two combinations. Meta's pages show one price at a time, for the combination selected, so open the one you want. Retailers set their own prices; check the maker's site or your retailer for the current price.

What is the Ray-Ban Meta Zena?

The Zena is the cat-eye style in the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) range. Meta's launch post calls it "a bold new cat-eye frame", and Ray-Ban's India page lists its shape as "Cat Eye" (checked October 31, 2026). It starts at $449 on meta.com in six combinations, including Clear, Grey, Gradient Brown, Polarized Green and two Transitions lenses. Ray-Ban's product titles on ray-ban.com give its size as 49-22.

Can the Ray-Ban Meta Aviator take prescription lenses?

Yes, within limits. Meta's help page says the Gen 3 Aviator can support prescriptions from -6.00 to +4.00, while the eligible range for Ray-Ban Meta glasses generally is -12.00 to +6.00 total power (checked October 31, 2026). You can order lenses on Meta.com, on Ray-Ban.com or at participating certified retailers. That page does not name the Zena, so confirm its range when you order. OXIVUE frames do not take prescription lenses.

Are Ray-Ban Meta Aviators polarized?

One Aviator combination is. Meta lists the Aviator in Shiny Black with Polarized Green lenses at $479, and lists a Shiny Black Zena with Polarized Green lenses too (checked October 31, 2026). The other Aviator combinations have Brown or Transitions lenses, which the pages we read do not describe as polarized. If polarization matters to you, choose the Polarized Green pair.

What size is the Ray-Ban Meta Aviator?

Ray-Ban's product titles on ray-ban.com label it 54-18, which Ray-Ban's size guide explains as lens width then bridge width. Ray-Ban's India page (checked October 31, 2026) lists an eye size of 54, an 18 mm bridge and a lens height of 46.6 mm, calls it "54-L best for more faces" and lists one size only. Meta's US pages offer Standard and High bridge fits with size and fit guides linked. Compare 54-18 with the numbers printed on a pair you already wear.

Is there an aviator-style alternative to Ray-Ban Meta?

No, not from OXIVUE. OXIVUE does not make an aviator or cat-eye frame, so there is no like-for-like swap. The M08 is $99 at checkout for one pair, with an 8 MP camera and open-ear audio, but it has no display, no prescription lenses and no Meta AI. If the Aviator shape is what you want, the Ray-Ban Meta Aviator is the style to look at.

What these frames won’t do

  • No prescription lenses yet, on any model. If you need vision correction all day, these can't replace your glasses.
  • No display. Nothing appears in your view; you hear answers and capture photos and video.
  • Open-ear speakers leak some sound at high volume and won't block out a loud train or a windy road the way sealed earbuds do.
  • Translation, music, calls and the assistant need your phone nearby and connected. Translation pauses after each sentence, and only you hear the translated audio; the other person reads the reply on your phone.
  • M08: no published water rating, so keep it out of heavy rain and spray.

Check these before you order: see the warranty and refund policy.
