ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude on smart glasses: which frames reach which chatbot

Smart glasses reach ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or a maker's own assistant, and every brand's list is different. This guide maps what the makers' own pages say, dated October 31, 2026, covers where Grok, Perplexity, DeepSeek and Qwen stand, and says plainly what the OXIVUE M02C does and does not do. We have not tested any of the other frames.

1. How a chatbot reaches a pair of glasses

Lucyd’s July 10, 2026 release for Claude is explicit about the steps. It says to open the Lucyd app, choose a Claude model, then talk using the audio interface on the glasses. The other makers below name their chatbots on the pages we read; check each maker’s page for how the connection works.

That gives three routes onto a pair of glasses:

  • A platform assistant that comes with the ecosystem.Meta AI on Meta’s glasses, Alexa+ on Amazon’s Echo Frames, and Gemini on the Android XR glasses Google and Samsung have announced.
  • A maker that lists several chatbots. Lucyd and Solos both name more than one chatbot on pages we read.
  • A product page that names one or two chatbots.Rokid names ChatGPT and Gemini, and Even Realities writes “ChatGPT* & Perplexity” with the footnote “*Even G1 only”.

A chatbot appearing on a product page does not say how well it works on the glasses. Lucyd’s release (checked October 31, 2026), for example, describes image and document understanding as uploading a photo or a PDF, and does not describe Claude using the glasses’ camera. It also describes hands-free use with the phone locked as anticipated for late Q3 2026. Read each line in the table below as “named on a maker’s page”, not as “tested”.

2. The matrix: which chatbot each maker names

Everything in the table was read on a maker’s page, a retailer’s own listing or a named outlet on October 31, 2026, except the “no announcement found” rows, which come from our searches that day. Status words follow one rule. “Named by the maker” means the maker’s page lists it, “announced” means the maker said it (where we could not read the maker’s own page, we say which outlet reported it), “reported” means a named outlet said it, and “no announcement found” means we looked and saw none.

We have not tested any frame in this table, and OXIVUE does not sell them. Prices are left out on purpose because they change; check the maker’s page for the current price.

3. ChatGPT: named by four makers we checked

Four makers name ChatGPT on pages we read. Solos’ January 6, 2026 post says the AirGo V2 connects to it. Rokid’s AI Glasses Style page puts ChatGPT and Gemini in its hero banner. Lucyd’s July 10, 2026 release names OpenAI’s ChatGPT, and its app page carries a video titled “Speak to ChatGPT with iOS”. Even Realities writes “ChatGPT* & Perplexity” with the footnote “*Even G1 only”, calls its own model “Even LLM”, and states that its AI glasses have no cameras.

Whether OpenAI makes glasses of its own, what the camera frames cost, and what exam rules say about wearing them are all in our ChatGPT glasses guide, which checked those points on October 19, 2026. This page does not repeat them.

4. Gemini: Solos and Rokid name it, and Samsung and Google’s glasses are announced

Solos and Rokid both name Gemini on their pages. Google’s route is different. Android Authority reported on May 19, 2026 that Samsung and Google previewed audio-only Android XR smart glasses, created in partnership with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster, that are “coming this fall with Gemini built in”, and that Samsung says its initial “Intelligent Eyewear” collections will launch this fall. The article does not mention a price. Road to VR wrote on July 22, 2026 that specific release dates and prices for the pairs shown were still unknown. We found no price or ship date from Samsung or Google (checked October 31, 2026), so treat any figure you see online as unconfirmed.

That makes Google and Samsung’s Gemini glasses “announced”, and we found no sign that they are on sale (checked October 31, 2026). Our Google AI glasses alternatives guide covers what you can buy while you wait.

5. Claude: Lucyd and Solos name it

On the pages we read, Claude reaches glasses through third parties. Lucyd’s press release, dated July 10, 2026, promises “fast, free access” to Claude from its glasses via the Lucyd app, at no additional cost. You open the app, choose your Claude model, then talk through the glasses. Solos’ January 6, 2026 post lists Claude among the chatbots the AirGo V2 connects to.

Read the limits in Lucyd’s own wording. The release describes voice through the glasses’ audio interface. Hands-free use with the phone locked was described as anticipated for late Q3 2026, and we have not checked whether it shipped. Image and document understanding is described as uploading a photo or a PDF, and the release (checked October 31, 2026) does not describe Claude using the glasses’ camera or specify iOS or Android. We found no glasses or glasses app published by Anthropic itself (checked October 31, 2026).

6. Grok, Perplexity, DeepSeek and Qwen

  • Grok: no announcement found (checked October 31, 2026). A search for an xAI glasses announcement returned none.
  • Perplexity:named by Even Realities, which writes “ChatGPT* & Perplexity” with the footnote “*Even G1 only”. The same page says its AI glasses have no cameras.
  • DeepSeek: named by Solos, in the January 6, 2026 AirGo V2 post, with ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. None of the other pages we read names it.
  • Qwen:Reuters reported on November 27, 2025 that Alibaba released its Quark AI glasses in China, to be powered by Alibaba’s Qwen model and app. That article describes no sales outside China. Our Quark AI glasses guide covers the alternatives available outside China.

7. Meta AI, Alexa+ and Siri: the assistants that come with the platform

Meta’s glasses run Meta AI. Meta’s help page on using it (checked October 31, 2026) says to say “Hey Meta” or tap and hold the touchpad, lists camera commands such as “Take a picture” and “describe what I’m seeing”, and says location questions need location services enabled on the phone, with the Meta AI app set to “always allow”. It does not mention ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude. Our ChatGPT glasses guide covers the Meta question for ChatGPT in more detail.

Amazon’s listing for the newest Echo Frames (checked October 31, 2026) has “Designed for Alexa+” in its title. Siri is different: we found no Apple glasses announcement (checked October 31, 2026), and Lucyd’s app page tells iPhone users to activate Siri on a wearable and say the wake word. For a side-by-side of the voice assistants, see smart glasses voice assistants.

8. Where OXIVUE fits, and what it does not do

OXIVUE does not publish which AI model powers the M02C’s voice-activated visual assistant. The M02C ($109 at checkout) lists a voice wake word and visual AI that can describe what you look at, an 8 MP Sony IMX219 camera with dual stabilisation, IP65 protection against dust and water jets (not immersion), magnetic charging and a weight of about 41 g. Our M02C product page does not describe choosing a chatbot, and OXIVUE does not say that any of its frames connects to ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or any other named chatbot.

The limits matter more than the features here. The M02C has no display, so you hear answers rather than read them. None of our frames take prescription lenses. They do not run Meta AI. The assistant needs your phone nearby and connected, through our free companion app. If the point of your purchase is a particular chatbot by name, buy from a maker whose page lists it, and compare our frames on the comparison page if a camera, open-ear audio and translation matter more to you.

9. Five checks before you buy

  • Find the chatbot on the maker’s own page. A listing title is not a specification. The matrix above is only as good as the dates beside it.
  • Ask what the camera does. Some frames have none, as Even Realities says of its own. Where there is a camera, check whether the chatbot uses it live or only takes an uploaded photo.
  • Check your phone and the app.Lucyd’s release (checked October 31, 2026) does not specify which phone platforms it covers. Confirm yours before ordering.
  • Ask what is free.Lucyd calls Claude access free; other makers may differ, and the chatbot’s own plan terms are separate.
  • Think about other people.Read the app’s privacy terms to see where your voice and any photos go. If you wear a camera, ask before recording people and follow local law.

Frequently asked questions

Which smart glasses work with ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude?

Several do, according to their makers' own pages (checked October 31, 2026). Solos says its AirGo V2 connects to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and DeepSeek. Lucyd's July 10, 2026 release names Claude and ChatGPT. Rokid's AI Glasses Style page names ChatGPT and Gemini, and Even Realities writes "ChatGPT* & Perplexity" with the footnote "*Even G1 only". We have not tested any of them, and a named chatbot does not tell you whether the camera or hands-free use works with it.

Can you connect ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude to Meta glasses?

Meta's page on using Meta AI on its AI glasses (checked October 31, 2026) does not describe it. The page describes saying "Hey Meta" or holding the touchpad, and does not mention ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude. The glasses run Meta's own assistant, Meta AI. Our ChatGPT glasses guide answers the same question for ChatGPT and lists the frames whose makers do name it.

Are there any smart glasses that use Gemini?

Yes, from two makers that name it, and Android XR glasses from Google and Samsung are announced. Solos and Rokid list Gemini on their pages (checked October 31, 2026). Android Authority reported on May 19, 2026 that the Android XR glasses Google and Samsung previewed with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster are "coming this fall with Gemini built in", and that Samsung says its initial "Intelligent Eyewear" collections will launch this fall. We found no price or ship date from Samsung or Google (checked October 31, 2026).

Are there Grok, Perplexity, DeepSeek or Qwen smart glasses?

Partly, and it differs by chatbot. Grok: no xAI glasses announcement turned up in our search (checked October 31, 2026). Perplexity: Even Realities lists "ChatGPT* & Perplexity" with the footnote "*Even G1 only", and says its AI glasses have no cameras. DeepSeek: Solos says its AirGo V2 connects to it (post dated January 6, 2026). Qwen: Reuters reported on November 27, 2025 that Alibaba released its Quark AI glasses in China, to be "powered by Alibaba's Qwen AI model and app". That article describes no sales outside China, and we did not check current availability.

Can ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude see through the glasses' camera?

That depends on the maker, and the pages we read differ. Solos says the AirGo V2 has a 16 MP camera and connects to chatbots for hands-free object ID. Lucyd's Claude release describes uploading a photo or a PDF and does not describe Claude using the glasses' camera. Meta's help page lists the command "describe what I'm seeing" for Meta AI. Even Realities says its AI glasses have no cameras (all checked October 31, 2026).

What smart glasses are compatible with Claude AI?

Lucyd and Solos name Claude on the pages we read (checked October 31, 2026). Lucyd's July 10, 2026 release says to open the Lucyd app, choose a Claude model, then talk through the glasses' audio, at no additional cost. It described use with the phone locked as anticipated for late Q3 2026, which we did not verify. Solos says its AirGo V2 connects to Claude. We found no glasses or glasses app from Anthropic itself (checked October 31, 2026).

Do OXIVUE glasses use ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude?

OXIVUE does not publish which AI model powers the M02C's voice-activated visual assistant, and the M02C product page names no chatbot. The M02C ($109 at checkout) has voice-activated visual AI that can describe what you look at, an 8 MP Sony IMX219 camera and IP65 protection. It has no display and takes no prescription lenses. If a named chatbot is a requirement, buy from a maker that lists it.

What these frames won’t do

  • No prescription lenses yet, on any model. If you need vision correction all day, these can't replace your glasses.
  • No display. Nothing appears in your view; you hear answers and capture photos and video.
  • Open-ear speakers leak some sound at high volume and won't block out a loud train or a windy road the way sealed earbuds do.
  • Translation, music, calls and the assistant need your phone nearby and connected. Translation pauses after each sentence, and only you hear the translated audio; the other person reads the reply on your phone.
  • M02C: IP65 resists dust and water jets, not immersion. No swimming, no saltwater.

Check these before you order: see the warranty and refund policy.
