GetD AI glasses: what to check, and an alternative with a camera

GetD AI glasses are sold on igetd.com and through Amazon and eBay, and marketplace listings do not always describe the product the same way. This guide sticks to what GetD's own website says, shows where its glasses fit, and covers what changes if you also want a camera at about the same price.

1. What GetD sells (checked October 19, 2026)

GetD’s shop page lists 12 products, and three of them make up its everyday AI range: the WayfarLite, Classic WayfarLite and RoundLite AI Glasses, each listed at $89.99 to $99.99on igetd.com. Above those sit an Aviator at $119.99 and the GSPRO frames at $259.99 to $279.99. These are the prices on GetD’s own site; marketplace sellers price the same names differently, and pre-owned listings appear in Google Shopping too.

On their product pages, the three everyday frames are described as eyewear first: injected TR90 frames, polarized or photochromic lenses, and a net weight of 29 g or less (WayfarLite and RoundLite) or 31 g or less (Classic WayfarLite). GetD’s About page says the company is Future 3D Group Inc., headquartered in Los Angeles and engineered with its Shenzhen factory. Its homepage says its intelligent system is developed based on ChatGPT and that its AI glasses carry a 5-year warranty.

That warranty and that weight are real points in GetD’s favour, and we say so up front. OXIVUE publishes this page and sells the M08 and M02C, so read the rest with that in mind.

2. The camera question

No camera is listed on any of the four GetD product pages we read. The three everyday frames list frame, lens and weight details only. The Aviator page has a full spec table, with Bluetooth 5.4, 110 mAh in each temple, “10h Play Music Or 8h Call At 60% Volume” and IPX4, and there is no camera row in it. The same table marks the GetD app and translation as “Not Support” on that model.

Marketplace listings are less consistent. Listing titles for GetD products on Amazon and eBay use their own feature wording, and it does not always match GetD’s spec pages. We are not going to quote those listings, because we cannot tell which product version a given listing ships. The practical rule: if a camera is the reason you are buying, confirm it on the exact listing and with the seller before you pay.

Why it matters: a camera is what lets AI glasses do more than play audio. It is how you take a photo of what you are looking at without reaching for your phone, and how an assistant can describe a sign or a menu in front of you. If you only want music, calls and a voice assistant in a light frame, audio glasses do that job. If you want the pictures too, you need a different kind of frame.

3. GetD vs OXIVUE side by side

The table puts GetD’s everyday frames, as described on igetd.com, next to the two OXIVUE frames closest to them in price. GetD figures were checked on October 19, 2026; where GetD’s pages do not state something, the cell says so.

4. What to check on any GetD listing

Five things decide whether a GetD listing is the product you think it is. Because GetD sells through its own site and through marketplace sellers, the same name can appear with different descriptions. Before you buy, check:

  • The model name or SKU.GetD’s own pages give SKUs such as GG13LITE (WayfarLite) and GG23LITE (Classic WayfarLite). Match the listing to one.
  • Camera: yes or no.If the listing claims one, ask the seller for the resolution and how photos reach your phone. GetD’s spec pages we read do not list one.
  • App and translation.GetD’s Aviator page marks both as not supported. Confirm the app line for the model you are looking at.
  • Who handles returns.GetD’s return page describes returns or exchanges within 45 days of receipt for products in original condition, with return costs on the customer, and says marketplace buyers follow that platform’s rules as well.
  • New or pre-owned. Google Shopping showed pre-owned GetD listings for this search on October 19, 2026. A warranty may depend on buying new from an authorised seller.

5. M08 ($99 at checkout): a camera at a similar price

The OXIVUE M08 is $99 at checkout for one pair ($149 list), and it adds an 8 MP camera set in the frame corner. You start a photo or a clip with a touch on the temple, so nothing records unless you start it. It has open-ear speakers and microphones for music, calls and the voice assistant, rated 7 hours of listening and 4 hours of calls.

  • Lenses. Choose sun, photochromic or clear. The clear lens makes it an everyday pair indoors and after dark.
  • Weight.About 42 g, which is heavier than GetD’s listed 29–31 g. The camera, battery and speakers are what add it.
  • Translation. The free HeyCyan app translates 40+ languages. You hear the translation; the other person reads your reply on your phone, and it needs your phone and a connection.
  • Water. No published water rating. For rain, see the M02C.

If you are recording other people, tell them, and check local law; some US states require everyone in a conversation to agree before audio is recorded. Our budget camera glasses guide compares more options in this price band.

6. M02C ($109 at checkout): IP65 and visual AI

The M02C is $109 at checkout ($159 list) and is rated IP65: dust-tight and protected against water jets, not immersion. It uses a Sony IMX219 8 MP sensor with dual stabilisation, weighs about 41 g and charges magnetically.

It is also the OXIVUE frame with “Hey Cyan” visual AI, which can describe what you are looking at. That is the clearest example of what a camera adds to AI glasses: the assistant can answer questions about the scene in front of you, not just the words you say. It comes in the same sun, photochromic and clear lens choices.

7. When GetD is the better fit

If you do not want a camera, GetD may suit you better. Some people prefer glasses with no camera at all, for privacy at work or simply because they only want audio. GetD’s everyday frames are listed at 31 g or less, which is lighter than any OXIVUE frame, and its homepage offers a 5-year warranty, longer than our 2-year limited warranty.

If you want the camera, the M08 and M02C sit in the same price band and add photos, video and visual answers. For a wider view of the field, read AI glasses under $200 and Amazon smart glasses alternatives, or compare every OXIVUE frame on the comparison page.

Frequently asked questions

Do GetD AI glasses have a camera?

Not according to GetD's own spec pages that we read on October 19, 2026. The WayfarLite, Classic WayfarLite and RoundLite pages list frame, lens and weight details with no camera, and the Aviator's full spec table has no camera row. Marketplace listings describe GetD products in different ways, so if a camera matters, check the exact listing and ask the seller before you buy.

How much do GetD AI glasses cost?

$89.99 to $99.99 for the WayfarLite, Classic WayfarLite and RoundLite AI Glasses on igetd.com (checked October 19, 2026). The Aviator is listed at $119.99 and the GSPRO frames at $259.99 to $279.99. Marketplace prices differ and change often. For comparison, the OXIVUE M08 with an 8 MP camera is $99 at checkout for one pair.

Who makes GetD glasses?

GetD describes itself as Future 3D Group Inc., headquartered in Los Angeles and engineered with its Shenzhen factory, on its About page (checked October 19, 2026). It sells through igetd.com and through marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay. OXIVUE is a separate company with no connection to GetD.

What are AI glasses?

AI glasses are ordinary-looking frames with speakers and microphones that connect to a phone app and a voice assistant. Some add a camera so the assistant can see what you see; others are audio only. OXIVUE frames have no display, and GetD's spec pages do not list one. The OXIVUE M08 and M02C add an 8 MP camera and translate 40+ languages through the HeyCyan phone app.

Do smart glasses help the blind see?

No. Smart glasses do not restore or improve vision. What a camera-equipped pair can do is describe a scene: the OXIVUE M02C has Hey Cyan visual AI, which can describe what you are looking at through the phone app. Audio-only glasses cannot do that because they have nothing to see with. Talk to a vision specialist about tools for low vision.

Is there a GetD AI glasses app?

Yes. GetD publishes the GetD-AI Glasses & Earbuds app on Apple's App Store, which it says connects and configures GetD wearables (checked October 19, 2026). App support still varies by model: GetD's Aviator spec table lists "GETD APP: Not Support" and "Translate: Not Support". Check the app line on the exact model page before you buy. OXIVUE frames use the HeyCyan app, which does not need a Meta, Facebook or Instagram account.

How fast does OXIVUE ship, and what if something goes wrong?

US orders typically arrive in 5 to 9 business days and international orders in 9 to 14 business days after shipment, with free shipping from $99, so every single pair here qualifies. Outside the US, import VAT and duties are paid on delivery. Refunds are limited to orders damaged in transit, and faults after delivery are handled under the 2-year warranty.

What these frames won’t do

  • No prescription lenses yet, on any model. If you need vision correction all day, these can't replace your glasses.
  • No display. Nothing appears in your view; you hear answers and capture photos and video.
  • Open-ear speakers leak some sound at high volume and won't block out a loud train or a windy road the way sealed earbuds do.
  • Translation, music, calls and the assistant need your phone nearby and connected. Translation pauses after each sentence, and only you hear the translated audio; the other person reads the reply on your phone.
  • M08: no published water rating, so keep it out of heavy rain and spray.
  • M02C: IP65 resists dust and water jets, not immersion. No swimming, no saltwater.

Check these before you order: see the warranty and refund policy.
