DMES AI glasses: what we could verify, and what we couldn’t.

DMES AI glasses turn up everywhere on resale sites, sealed in the box, for a fraction of the price printed on some of the listings. What we could not find is the maker: no official website, no spec sheet, no named app. This page sets out what is verifiable, labels where each fact comes from, and suggests alternatives that publish their specs.

What are DMES AI glasses?

DMES AI glasses are smart glasses sold under the DMES name. The listings we could read describe the same core set: open-ear speakers in the temples, Bluetooth to your phone, a microphone for calls and AI translation. They come in black and white, in sunglasses and clear styles, under several model numbers. The ones that appear most often are A01-C, SYX31 (also written SYX31-A), SYX21A and SYX-23.

The unusual part is where they are sold. Search for DMES AI glasses and the results are resale listings, not a brand store: eBay, Poshmark, a PayMore electronics shop in Georgia. The domain dmes.com belongs to an unrelated home medical equipment retailer. The closest thing to a first-party source we found is a TikTok Shop store named DMES ELECTRONIC, whose seller information gives the business name L & F GROUP USA INC, in California.

What we could verify about DMES AI glasses, and what we couldn’t

Everything below was read on September 30, 2026. We have not handled a pair of DMES glasses, and we label each source because they are not equally reliable: the store listing is the seller’s own, while resale listings are written by whoever is selling a used or unwanted pair.

SourceTypeWhat it shows
DMES ELECTRONIC, SYX31 listingSeller store on TikTok Shop“AI Translation Smart Glasses”; black or white; dark gray lens; battery or cell capacity 0.29 Wh; out of stock; about $199.99
DMES ELECTRONIC, SG-21 listingSeller store on TikTok Shop“AI Smart Audio Glasses with AI Translation”; blue or purple; out of stock; $199.99

Poshmark sellerThird-party resaleSeller describes open-ear audio, AI translation, about 8 hours of standby and about an hour to charge
eBay and others via Google ShoppingThird-party resaleAbout 30 offers from $10 to $56; some titles quote an MSRP of $199.99 or $239.99

What none of these sources states, and what we therefore will not guess:

  • Which app the glasses use. Translation and AI features depend entirely on the companion app, and no listing names it. Many unbranded AI glasses run on shared apps such as the one in our HeyCyan guide, but we could not confirm which app DMES uses.
  • Whether there is a camera. The seller’s listings do not list one. A few resale titles do.
  • Battery life in hours, weight, water rating and language count. Not published by the seller.
  • Who makes them, and the warranty. Not stated anywhere we could read.

About that 0.29 Wh figure. TikTok Shop asks sellers for battery data for shipping, and the SYX31 listing gives a battery or cell capacity of 0.29 Wh. It does not say whether that is one cell or the whole pair, so it cannot be turned into hours of use. For comparison, the OXIVUE M08 lists a battery of about 300 mAh and publishes the hours: 7 of listening and 4 of calls.

What is the price of DMES AI smart glasses?

There are two very different prices in circulation. The DMES ELECTRONIC store listed the SYX31 and SG-21 at about $199.99 (one of our two reads of the SYX31 page showed $237.01), and both were out of stock. On resale sites the same name sells for $10 to $56, often described as new and sealed, with some sellers quoting an MSRP of $199.99 or $239.99.

A gap that wide usually means the pairs on resale sites did not sell at the higher price. It does not tell you the glasses are bad, but it does mean the number on a resale listing is not evidence of what the glasses are worth. Judge them as what they verifiably are: Bluetooth audio glasses with translation through an unnamed app. For the cheapest pairs that do publish a camera spec, see our cheapest smart glasses with a camera guide.

DMES vs Dymesty: not the same brand, as far as we can tell

Search “DMES AI glasses” and Google’s AI summary puts DMES next to Dymesty, which is easy to do with names that share letters. We found nothing that connects them. Dymesty sells titanium, camera-free AI glasses from its own store at dymesty.com, where the Cook Edge cost $299 on September 30, 2026 with translation listed in 100+ languages, and its site does not mention DMES. DMES glasses come with different model numbers through a different seller. If Dymesty is what you were looking for, our Dymesty alternatives guide compares it with camera frames.

How to use DMES AI glasses

We could not find a DMES manual online, so these are the general steps for Bluetooth AI glasses, not DMES-specific instructions. The manual in the box overrides them.

  1. Charge the glasses fully with the cable supplied before first use.
  2. Switch them on and put them in pairing mode, as the manual describes.
  3. Pair from your phone’s Bluetooth settings; music and calls work from here.
  4. Install the companion app named in the manual or on the box. Translation and AI features run in that app, not in the glasses.
  5. Pick your two translation languages in the app and test them at home before you rely on them. Accuracy varies by language pair on every brand, ours included.

Buying used without the box? Ask the seller which app the glasses use before you pay. Without it, you have Bluetooth headphones in a frame.

Buying unbranded AI glasses: what to check first

  • A named app with recent updates. The app is where translation, the assistant and any photos live. Look it up in the App Store or Google Play before buying.
  • Published specs.Battery hours, weight, camera resolution and water rating from the maker, not from a reseller’s title.
  • A seller who will answer. A brand with a support address can help when a firmware update breaks pairing. An anonymous resale listing cannot.
  • A warranty you can claim. The used DMES pair we found lists no manufacturer warranty. OXIVUE frames carry a 2-year limited warranty.

DMES AI glasses alternatives with published specs

These do the jobs DMES listings advertise, open-ear audio, calls and translation, with figures their makers publish. The DMES column only shows what its seller lists.

  1. OXIVUE M08, $149: the closest like-for-like. Open-ear audio, calls and two-way translation in 40+ languages, plus an 8 MP camera, at about 42 g. Only the wearer hears the translation; the other person reads or hears it on your phone.
  2. OXIVUE M02C, $159: the all-rounder. Our lightest camera frame at about 41 g, IP65, magnetic charging and the “Hey Cyan” visual assistant.
  3. OXIVUE M14, $199: the most languages. 139 languages in the HeyCyan app, a 52 g sport wrap, IPX4 and stabilised 1080p video.
  4. Dymesty Cook Edge, $299: camera-free titanium. 100+ languages and a meeting-notes app, from a brand with its own store.
  5. Meta Glasses from $249, or Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 from $379.For Meta’s app and ecosystem; our Ray-Ban Meta alternatives page weighs them against cheaper frames.

All OXIVUE frames use the free HeyCyan app, which needs a sign-up but no Meta or social-media account and no subscription. Translation needs a phone with a data connection. There is no display in any OXIVUE lens and no prescription option. Every spec is on the comparison page, and our best AI translation glasses list covers the wider translation field.

Bottom line

DMES AI glasses may be perfectly serviceable Bluetooth audio glasses, but the maker publishes almost nothing: no website we could find, no named app, no battery hours, no warranty terms. A $15 resale pair is a low-risk experiment if you accept that. If you want to know what you are buying before it arrives, the OXIVUE M08 at $149 publishes its camera, battery, languages and app, ships to U.S. addresses in 5–9 business days with free shipping from $99, and carries a 2-year frame warranty. OXIVUE does not offer refunds except for damage in transit, so check the return policy before ordering.

Frequently asked questions

What are DMES AI glasses?

DMES AI glasses are Bluetooth smart glasses sold under the DMES name, with open-ear speakers, a microphone and AI translation listed as features. We could not find an official DMES website. The closest first-party source is a TikTok Shop store called DMES ELECTRONIC, run by L & F GROUP USA INC of California, which lists the SYX31 and SG-21 models. Most DMES glasses for sale in the US are resale listings.

What is the price of DMES AI smart glasses?

On September 30, 2026, the DMES ELECTRONIC store on TikTok Shop listed the SYX31 and SG-21 at about $199.99, both out of stock. Resale listings on eBay, Poshmark and similar sites ranged from $10 to $56, and some resellers quote an MSRP of $199.99 or $239.99. Those MSRP figures come from resellers, not from the maker.

How do you use DMES AI glasses?

We could not find a DMES user manual online, so follow the paperwork in the box. For Bluetooth audio glasses in general: charge them fully, put them in pairing mode, connect from your phone's Bluetooth settings, then install whichever app the manual names for translation and AI features. If a used pair arrives without the manual, ask the seller for the app name before you buy.

Are DMES and Dymesty the same brand?

We found nothing that links them. Google's AI summary groups them together, but Dymesty sells its own titanium, camera-free glasses on dymesty.com, from $299 for the Cook Edge, and its site does not mention DMES. DMES glasses are sold through a TikTok Shop store and resale sites under different model numbers.

Do DMES AI glasses have a camera?

We could not confirm it. The DMES ELECTRONIC listings for the SYX31 and SG-21 do not list a camera. A few resale titles mention one, but resale titles are written by the seller, not the maker. If you need a camera, buy glasses whose maker states the camera, such as the 8 MP OXIVUE M08 at $149.

Do AI smart glasses really work?

The core features do: open-ear audio, calls, voice assistants and translation through a phone app all work on current AI glasses. How well depends on the app behind them, which is why an unnamed app is the biggest unknown with an unbranded pair. Translation needs a paired phone and usually a data connection, and accuracy varies by language pair.

What is a good alternative to DMES AI glasses?

Pick by what you wanted from DMES. For open-ear audio and translation with published specs and a camera, the OXIVUE M08 is $149 with 40+ languages and 7 hours of listening. For more languages, the OXIVUE M14 is $199 with 139. For a camera-free titanium frame, Dymesty starts at $299. For Meta's ecosystem, Meta Glasses start at $249.
