Chapter 05 — The story
M08E is no longer in production. Every pair already shipped is still on warranty.
M08E was our single experiment with a polycarbonate frame — a lighter, IPX4 splash-rated take on the napkin sketch. It found its readers. It just never quite belonged to the acetate language the rest of the manual is written in.
So we're closing this chapter. The Milan studio is consolidating around the frame Oliver drew first — hand-poured acetate, hand-finished hinges — and around the M14 silhouette to come. M08, M08C and M08A continue. M08E does not.
If you already own an M08E, nothing changes for you. It stays on our two-year international warranty, and we'll service it for as long as you wear it. Some chapters were always meant to be short.

The manual continues in acetate.
I was part of the design review. The new hinge is the thing most people won't notice but everyone will feel. Sits closer to the face, doesn't telegraph the tech. The lens geometry makes the whole silhouette softer.
Carries forward everything that made the M08 right — the 8 MP sensor, the open-ear audio, the quiet touch — but the frame itself looks like it came from an eyewear studio, not a gadget lab. Pre-ordered a second pair for my wife.
I tested all three lenses on pre-production units. Photochromic wins. Sunglasses are gorgeous but single-use. Clear is fine. The photochromic just sits in more moods of light without you noticing.
This is the dress-up version of the line. Lightweight acetate feels premium. Hinge gives it a bit of architectural tension. Worth the wait.
